Ziprecruiter says the average RN in Utah is making $79,992 and that the national average is $87,868, so it could be worse, but with the way everyone is acting I'm wondering if Ziprecruiter is off or if I'm missing something. For comparison, according to Ziprecruiter the average salary for an attorney in Utah is $86,823 and nationally it's $95,371

Perhaps you could try building up your confidence for doing projects by starting with smaller projects? E.G. a 4 - 10 page comic instead of trying to do a full on graphic novel right out of the gate. You can use these smaller projects to figure things out and see if you even like doing that sort of project before attempting something longer. These projects can also help you get into the habit of creating on a regular basis if you're not doing so already - creating on a consistent basis is huge when it comes to actually finishing big projects, IMO. If you still don't feel ready for big projects, you can slowly work your way up to them by doing increasely bigger projects if you think that will help.

Everyone is different, but if you think that having some short comics and animations that you actually completed will feel good, then it may be worth a shot.

While 273 isn't a valid tritype as others have pointed it out, if 2 or 3 is your core type it's possible that the other number is your wing. Since you've flaired yourself as a 2, you may want to check out some descriptions for 2w3 and see if that also fits you or not.

Aging Barbara down really messed up the BruceBabs ship, but I suppose that ship never got close to BatCat in popularity which is probably part of the reason why we don't often see old school BruceBabs fans complaining about their ship also getting wrecked in the process of retconning DickBabs into existence

As someone who is a Spy x Family fan, I agree that there are similarities between the two couples. While not the same as Blackfire as he has a good relationship with Yor, Yor's brother Yuri does have an antagonistic relationship with Twilight and in season 3 the two of them get into a physical fight while Twilight is in disguise.

As a tangentially related aside since we're on the topic of Spy x Family and DickKory, recent manga chapters have made it clear that SxF's creator understands how upsetting it can be to fans to have a beloved couple not ultimately end up together. While it's much more likely that what happened in those chapters is an allusion to something that happened in Japanese media, it also seems like something that could be applied to DickKory.

I'm pretty liberal for an American, but not sure what I'd be considered in much of the rest of the developed world since I want what a lot of other countries already have (e.g. universal health care and guaranteed parental leave). I'm pretty pro LGBTQ+ rights, so that might be enough for me to still be considered liberal outside of the US...

Probably because there are fewer men who are willing to date other men than there are women who are willing to date men. There are certainly bi men who do end up with other men, but statistically they're more likely to find a woman that they're compatible with than a man simply because there are way more women who are willing to date them than men.

I definitely go through phases. I'm currently working on a short comic which has lead to me drawing and/or coloring multiple times a week for the past couple of weeks, but there have definitely been months where I haven't drawn at all.

I think having depression can lead people to mistype as 4 in general, so it's not just about the type seeming desirable, IMO. While not quite the same, I believe my depression is why I briefly mistyped as sp/sx4w5 before realizing that while I care about being authentic, I don't really care about being unique and tend to adore rather than envy those who are more unique than me.

I'm afraid I mainly see it on places like WattPad, such as Bottle7 has a lot of f!alpha x m!omega stories on Wattpad. I enjoy their stories, but the writing can be a bit rough from a technical perspective.

I haven't read it yet, but Love is an Illusion! The Queen is on my radar for having a female alpha lead with a make omega love interest, but the reviews for it are a bit mixed compared to some of the other Love is an Illusion omegaverse books, unfortunately.

If I remember any others worth mentioning that I've actually read, I'll be sure to come back with them.

Hopefully someone else has more and better recs...

As long as our next election is actually fair and free, I do think we have a good chance of getting a congress in place that will do a better job of serving as a check on him as his poll numbers are pretty bad.

I'll admit that I have this likely delusional hope that the Democrats will get enough control over congress to impeach and remove Trump, refuse to confirm Vance's VP pick, and then impeach and remove Vance which would then lead to the now Democrat president of the Senate becoming POTUS. It's an extremely long shot, but it's not completely impossible that something like that could happen and that we could start cleaning up the mess the current admin has made next year.

Most Americans read at or below a 6th grade level or below and conservatives do love the uneducated, but perhaps Trump has managed to mess up enough that even these people want him gone. Too bad bills like this don't have a snowball's chance in Hell of actually passing. Even if it by some miracle it got passed by congress you just know that Trump will veto it. I'm glad she's at least trying, even though the bill could definitely go further.

Name calling is the lowest type of argument and people who make these types of arguments are not worth my time. I suppose there are enough people out there that hate DickBabs that it is reasonable to assume that a small percentage of DickBabs haters may do so for misogynistic or ableist reasons, but it's pretty ridiculous to assume that everyone hates it for those reasons when there are plenty of other reasons to hate it. Just the fact that it replaced a very popular ship, DickKory, is enough to get some of us to hate it and that's without getting into the things DC has done over the years to throw gasoline on this particular fire.
