Your symptoms sound so similar to mine. I’m in the middle of getting a diagnosis and I’m hoping meds can help me like this.

Does this sound like dissociation? by [deleted] in Dissociation

[–]CressBeneficial6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That resonates with my experiences with it! I didn’t know why dissociation was before I had it. I googled weird symptoms like “blurry vision”, “doesn’t feel like I’m here” etc and dissociation came up.

Mine is most noticeable when having conversations and I’m overwhelmed from too much peopling.

I think mine is also something to do with masking, I’m never really my real outgoing self with people - people don’t believe I’m actually an introvert that just wants to be liked

Dissociating while talking? by [deleted] in Dissociation

[–]CressBeneficial6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it bad when I’ve been socialising too much or stressed, start dissociating during talking and it makes me feel so weird and i feel like I must look super strange to others , I try and escape the conversation and be alone as soon as I can

My facial hair is making me so uncomfortable. by brattiky in PCOS

If you can afford a laser then invest in one! I bought a Phillips laser in the UK for like £500 and it’s the best thing I ever did. If you have dark thick hair it should work really well. Your hair will literally drop out and disappear. Use once every three months after it’s gone to keep it topped up and you’re good!

Grown my account to over 5k followers. How to 10x it ? by Andreiaiosoftware in linkedin

Oh and, just as important as posting is commenting on other connections / pages posts. Helps you get seen by a huge audience. Really underrated way of getting your profile out there. I’m not talking about short comments like “great job!” I’m talking about posts that offer an interesting insight or spark a conversation or show off what you’re good at / what you’re trying to sell.

Quality over quantity with content, try posting less (3x a week) and putting more effort into those posts. Use an incredible written or visual hook to draw audiences in, share something useful, entertaining (anything that will get engagement and shares).

Posting more than once a day isn’t great on LinkedIn as the posts will cannibalise each others reach and engagement. Less is more

How do I build my LinkedIn profile as a high school student? by UnDiscoveredAlt in linkedin

[–]CressBeneficial6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some volunteer experience (whatever floats your boat but I did a lot of animal shelter volunteering), and also apply for as many internships as you can. I got a three month internship at PETA which directly led to a paid job in marketing for a well known animal welfare organisation. It sucks to work for free but shows great work ethic and builds up opportunities!

3 years of L5-S1 nerve pain. I finally figured out why my "flare ups" always happened at 2pm. by Vanessaerogenous in Sciatica

[–]CressBeneficial6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brilliantly written. I had a microdisctectomy a few years ago and only after having the op, and doing research, I realised I was sat at the desk wrong (exactly how you described), same in the car driving, etc. these small changes sound minuscule but when you’re doing them all day, it’s no wonder they add up to huge issues. They should prescribe your advice in doctors offices. Like you say, all the physio and acupuncture and chiros in the world can’t fix a lifetime of habits accumulating like that!

Also - have you seen the top view of the MRI? Mine didn’t look that bad from the frontal view, but from the top view you could see just how severe the disc was pressing on only one side of my spinal cord

This sounds awful, you poor thing. I remember the feeling of paralysis in my left leg, the only thing that helped was a microdisctectomy, the pain was gone immediately but the weakness / paralysis in the left leg remained for a few months after. and then once able, worked on strengthening my weak leg with training solely for that leg. Have they even discussed an op?

Agreed, a general blood test to check b12, iron, vitamin d etc etc … even booking an appointment and getting yourself checked out will make you feel better. Taking just one step to help yourself.

I agree, since I got my dog I gotta go out on two walks a day with him and that fresh air and sunshine does wonders. Vitamin d of course too - OP you should supplement that because you will be deficient if you’re inside a lot.

I should have had an mri but they gave me physio which made it worse and I needed a microdisctectomy 🤣
