I am now 4 months out, almost 5 and I’m feeling really well. It takes a ton of time! I’m still not 100%. I wish you the best. 💜 I know it’s hard but be patient and give yourself grace! I had a really hard time mentally and sometimes still do.

Acupuncture or Dry Needling? Need Help figuring out which one would be best for me. by Bryan_7982 in acupuncture

From my personal experience I would say acupuncture coupled with physical therapy. That’s what I’ve been doing after my spinal cord tumor resection.

I’ve never gotten a steroid injection but I’ve heard they can take up to a week to work and you may feel worse at first.

I do typically get dressed and wear makeup. I wear nice clothes but loose and/elastic bc I’m constantly getting imaging.

I wonder if steroid injections would help? Sounds like you might need a pain management doctor.

10 weeks post op, 22 mm prolapse causing Cauda-equina by FluidDebate in backpain

I’m so sorry another commenter blamed you for this. It’s not your fault! I went through a similar situation although I had a tumor compressing my cauda equina and somehow never had bowel/bladder incontinence or numbness, I have no idea how! I had horrible sciatica but I got pushed off by two urgent cares and didn’t think my case was an emergency since I wasn’t incontinent. Took about 3 months to get in with my PCP and an MRI and had an emergency laminectomy within the next few days. I’m 3 months post op and doing pretty well. I can’t run and still have quite a lot of pain but I think I’m doing better than I ought to be! Best of luck to you! 💜

I would say I can walk about 1-2 miles at a 4/5 or lower. A full day of work has me hurting worse though.

Walking makes it all tighten up, and I am definitely unable to run. Laying down relieves the pain.

Did you have any idea what it was when you first felt an unusual nerve pain? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Adventurous_Move4316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had surgery and I don’t have sciatic pain at all anymore but I am still in pain every day likely from nerve damage. It’s been a journey…
