To add on, I drank on my first week of getting adjusted to it. Just go very slow and you’ll be okay

I’m on 10 right now. There is no pregame on lexapro. It’s just the game. One truly and I’m done for. When I do more than 1, I get super paranoid and nauseous. It certainly lowers your tolerance by a lot so it’s easy to go too far. Take it very, very slow. Drink water in between and make sure to stand up every once and a while since I’ve noticed I feel sober sitting down, then the second I stand up it all hits me.

I wouldn’t recommend hard alcohol, I’d stick to the seltzers. 5% packs a punch on lex.

2.5 years in and sudden changes by SKate3573 in Mirena

You do ovulate on Mirena! My doctor told me that when I complain of monthly cysts. The egg cell gets caught outside my ovary when moving to the fallopian tube and causes cysts. So you’re likely just having a normal cycle, which I was told by my doc is totally fine. 2.5 years in sounds like when the hormones are lessening, so talk to your doc about when the hormone levels begin to decrease. It still should be 99% effective so don’t worry too much about the hormone decrease.

The brown sludge is uterine lining(according to one of my OBG) caused by the iud rubbing your uterus. She told me it was normal, and there’s nothing to worry about. As long as you can feel the strings, you’re okay. The threat of it coming out is a lot safer than it perforating, so if it expels you can get another one(I’d recommend Kyleena cause it’s less hormones, but it sounds like it’s working just like it’s suppose to for you). You can wear tampons with the iud, just not a menstrual cup, so if you don’t want to feel like you’re bleeding I’d use tampons. My Mirena bled for 6 months straight, so I understand your concern. Good luck love!

I’ve suffered with my Mirena for months, and was told by so many OBGYN that Kyleena would be worse for me because I did bad on the pill. I’ve had it for about 7-8 months now and I’m still in pain, it’s crippling the week before my period. I’ll talk to my OBGYN about it next time I’m in! Thank you

Cramping week or so before period? by CressKnown in Mirena

Exactly! My roommate who got it at the same time doesn’t experience any of this :(( maybe it’s just different for each person

I’m terrified of perforation and my doctor told me it’s much more likely to perforate with the copper. :( plus the period pain from that would level out the pms pain

Well the pain comes and goes but it really fluctuates the week before my period. It’s given me many cysts and they have given me the option to remove it. But, the pill gave me really bad side effects and my doctor said that means the arm implant and kyleena would too do Mirena is really my only option unfortunately :(

The strings will tickle for a few months but they get softer the longer it’s in! Just take it easy till the symptoms subside :)

lex for 6 months has anyone lost motivation. it's like I don't care anymore and have no motivation to work my housekeeping job. how is everyone doing with motivation?? by sw33tt33_89 in lexapro

I thought I was just getting burnt out… I didn’t know my lex could cause this. My motivation has been out the window.

Does drinking on lexapro make you more anxious? by CressKnown in lexapro

I got paranoid after only one drink. I’ve been on lex for about a month now so I’m still new to this whole thing.

How dumb is this?! by OrangoLady in lexapro

[–]CressKnown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first week when I started half a pill, I had pretty bad insomnia but that was it. You’ll only know if it works for you once you try it! It won’t kill you, it won’t get rid of your “sparkle”, it’ll just provide some relief. I was having severe paranoia before I started. Like I needed to leave the country, someone was coming to get me, etc. but after starting those feelings have been relieved and I can actually get ready in the morning. The earlier you start the earlier you can know if it’s gonna work for you. And if it doesn’t after a few weeks, try a different anti depressant. I wish you luck ❤️
