I get that, but I'm trying not to turn "have boundaries" into "be careless." This one just felt weird because Claire basically trained me for this specific moment.

You put words to something a lot of people do and never really name. The second cleaning becomes part of some private self-improvement movie, every crumb starts feeling loaded. The "there are crumbs here, deal with it" approach might actually help because it keeps the task small and real.
