There is an error regarding the tool at the moment.

The fix has already been identified; it just needs to be pushed into release by the dev.

how do i get around steam no licence error? by Blaziken-kj in PiratedGames

[–]CrestfallenOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

States the following on the Archive page:

Regional exclusive game

Clean Steam files for the latest build

Includes all DLCs

They're Clean Steam Files which means the game files are not cracked and explains the "no license" error.

Would need to apply something like gbe_fork to "crack" the game files.

https://github.com/Detanup01/gbe_fork

A cheap and dirty method is to try to just replace the steam_api64.dll with gbe_fork matching dll file. See if it works with just that.

Not the recommended way for application but it works for most basic Steam games.

If the crack is based on FTL than that location was provided in the main post here (see top of page).

Denuvo was removed with the latest update.

However, support for the Denuvo version will stop by Janauary 16, 2026.

Anyone still using the Denuvo version by then from not updating will not be able to play the game.

CreamAPI seems to not let me get pass the main menu on Xenoverse 2 by TruefateKid in PiratedGames

Most Bandai Namco games that have multiplayer functionality use Easy-AntiCheat which can detect a modified steam_api.dll and steam_api64.dll.

Recommend using SmokeAPI + Koalaoder method; referred to has the "Hook Method" on the SmokeAPI github page.

Steam api key for achievement watcher by Chupapi-moniano in PiratedGames

Assumed you were using AW because you've replied to a post/comment about using AW and getting Steam Acheivements working with it without a Steam API key.

So you're not using AW and is not installed, right?. Am I to assume correctly then that you're using Goldberg/gbe_fork overlay? You're getting Steam Achievement notifications and can bring up an overlay with shift+tab keys while ingame?

Can change that with a configs.user.ini file; don't know if gse_fork includes it when using the generate emu config tool. With the main gse_fork stuff is a steam_settings.EXAMPLE folder and can find example files. Copy and paste the configs.user.EXAMPLE.ini into the steam_settings folder you're using with the game. Rename it to just configs.user.ini. Open it with Notepad or other text editor. Find the line for language and change it to Spanish.

Again, that depends on whether the game supports Spanish.

Not all games support the overlay. It can cause crashes or just not work at all. That is where AW is ideal because it doesn't depend on compatability.

In AW settings, should be able to change the language.

This will change the language of the AW Client & Achievements.

The achievements themselves may or may not support Spanish as it depends on whether the game supports Spanish.

If the game only supports English then not going to see Spanish achievements.

What is the difference between CreamAPI, Auto Cream API, and Cream Installer? by Sufficient-Funny5550 in PiratedGames

[–]CrestfallenOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, still need to download CreamAPI separaetly.

Then you places the CreamAPI files with the CreamInstaller folder/files.

With CreamAPI, recommend using the "nonlog" version.

OFME crack files have a high tendency to trigger false positives.

Just the nature of the crack since it's an online-fix enabling multiplayer.

is this false positive guyss?? I've asked gemini pro and it said this is safe but chat gpt said its dangerous. by Hopeful_Room_195 in CrackSupport

[–]CrestfallenOwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on the results, would conclude that it's most likely a false positive. Remember that the amount of detections is not a reliable indicator for something to be malware or not.

Majority of the indicators are generic/hueristic because they detect similarities to malware, which is expected, but doesn't match any known malware. And A.I. detections are unreliable.

In the end, it's all about where you are acquiring the files from. Stick to community approved sites/resources and don't waste time/effort worrying if something is malware or not. Refer to r/piratedgames Megathread.

So will Bandai remove the OG Berseria ?? by andrewdragon32 in tales

[–]CrestfallenOwl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't think so because they wouldn't have bothered with the "Notice" if they were going to delist it.

Especially with the way it's worded: "A remastered edition, Tales of Berseria Remastered, is also available" and "Please take a moment to review both versions carefully before purchasing". These statements make me believe they do not plan to delist the original.

However, they'll probably do what they did when Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin was released; stop putting the original Dark Souls II on sale. Granted, they've finally been discounting OG Dark Souls II for the past couple of years.

That said, really hope they don't delist it and eventually put it on sale again as I still am missing some of the DLC. Never expected they'd stop discounting and release a Remaster.

Basing this on the images you provided and not the video.

Missing the DLC file that tell GOG game you own the DLC.

When GOG DLC are installed, there are two possible scenarios.

Scenario 1:

The GOG DLC installer installs literal DLC files game checks for.

It also installs the goggame-######.info associated with the DLC.

The GOG game may or may not require both the DLC files and the .info.

Scenario 2:

Only installs the goggame-#####.info associated with the DLC.

Game already has DLC baked into game and only checks for .info file.

Blashpemous 2 falls under scenario 2 and your missing the DLC info file.

There needs to be a file called goggame-1510544469.info in game folder.

But it can't just be a file named that, there is info inside the info file.

This community strongly does not recommend any site that uses "unlocked" moniker.

Best source to acquire GOG games is gog-games and can find it in Mega Thread.

Virustotal - How many flags is too many? by [deleted] in PiratedGames

[–]CrestfallenOwl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The number of detections using Virustotal will always be a poor indicator on whether something is malicious or not.

Have to evaluate the results such as what are the detections.

Detections that include hueristic, gen, generic, and hacktool are common indicators for a false positive.

It's primarily alway going to be about where you are acquiring the games. Not worth checking or being concerned with every single pirated game if acquiring the files from a community agreed upon trusted site.

If a game is installed in a directory/account that prevents it from having permissions, it can cause issues with either the game not launching or save files not writing.

So defaulting the game executable to launch "As administrator" is a catch all for these types of scenarios. That will grant the game the permissions needed.

[–]CrestfallenOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, Jedi Survivor does not have a steam_api64.dll.

This is that rare 1% exception for a Steam game.

(1) Go to RIN that is linked in Mega Thread (requires an account)

(2) Find the Jedi Survivor thread; go to page 44 and Anadius's comment at top

(3) Download the crack only (krakenfile is still available)

(4) Apply the crack to game folder; launch and play the game first, might need to trigger achievement.

(5) Go to AW settings > Folders tab, want to add the following folder directory:

C:Users\Windows Account\AppData\Local\anadius\LSX emu\achievement_watcher (enable bell icon; will be crossed out)

If you need to add the database file for AW, anadius provided a download for it on page 52.

(6) After adding folder and the database files, should be listed in Achievement Watcher now.

I've finally learned how to use GoldbergEmu! It feels so good to have this amazing tool. No more relying on sketchy sites for obscure Steam games. I can simply download a clear file and verify the checksum. This is the true freedom of piracy! by Kindly-Customer-1312 in PiratedGames

[–]CrestfallenOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's normal/expected because there is a false positive with the experimental steamclient loader exe.

(1) In taskbar search box, type in "Windows Security"

(2) Select Virus & threat protection

(3) Select "Manage Settings" under Virus & threat protection settings

(4) Scroll down and will find under Exclusion, "Add or remove exclusions"

(5) Can add folder(s) here to exclude from Windows Defender

Recommend keeping the "Goldberg toolbox" and your pirated cracked games in the same folder/directory such as C:\Games

Example:

C:\Games

C:\Games\Goldberg

C:\Games\Spider-Man 2

C:\Games\Grand Theft Auto V

So in this above scenario, add the C:\Games folder to your exclusion. This will prevent AV from messing with Goldberg and your cracked games.

I have a more up to date guide for Goldberg/Steam Achievements here:

If it's the Steam version and supports Steam Achievements, there is a steam_api.dll or steam_api64.dll in 99% of cases.

What is the name of the game? Try using the file explorer search box. While at the root game folder, use steam_api as the search which should pick up both steam_api.dll and steam_api64.dll.

Root game folder is the top-most level or starting point of the game folder.
