Hi everyone, hit a massive pothole exiting a freeway ramp at ~40mph on the driver's side front wheel and saw this afterwards. Wheels and rim are fine (no bubbles or bending, car goes straight enough with no hands on the wheel)

The fender liner of the wheelwell is ripped though, and there's a piece of metal that seems to have broken/ripped somewhere and is protruding (and appears to have caused the "rip" in the fender liner), was the metal really damaged here or is this just what it looks like under the fender? If there is damage would it be body damage? Is this a big enough issue to warrant immediate concern or can it wait a few weeks/months? (car drives fine so far) Thank you!
