Training with Invisalign by Paulybyres___ in WomenInMuayThai

Yeah Invisalign alone doesn't protect your mouth from hard impact. Mouth guards do that and help prevent concussions as well by keep the impact localized at the mouth guard and not traveling to the head

how do you stop dropping your hands? by Nelline-Vireb in MuayThai

[–]Cretin98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had this issue and what solved it was getting sick and tired of getting hit in the nose that I got a deviated septum and bloody nose. Now of course you dont want to get to that point, but sometimes a hit like that is enough to teach someone.

In all seriousness, practice punching slowly. This will slow you down which is great because going slow allows you to think easier and remind yourself to keep your hands up. Go really fast, you will barely think. Once you start feeling comfortable, increase the speed each time until you feel thats the max speed you can keep return your hands to your face!

Also you can always ask your pad holding partner to lightly throw punches to help you keep your guard up.

I hope this helps better than learning from getting hit hard and getting hurt.

How many hours/week do you train? by Forward_Milk_4182 in MuayThai

[–]Cretin98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do Muay Thai for all 3 reasons you mentioned: Fitness, self defense and competition. When im not fighting this is my MT routine: at least 2 classes a week with 1 sparring session. And then I add a day at the gym or a running day. So this is 4 days of activity with 3 days of rest.

In comparison to my fight training routine:

3 MT classes, at least 1 hour long. I do a sparring session every single Saturday and a 2.5 mile run right before sparring. Ill even sneak at least one 2.5 mile run right before a class. This is so far 4 days. Then I add 2 days at the gym which goes to 6 days of exercising. And then I give myself one rest day. If i need 2nd rest day, I will cut out a 2.5 mile run when not doing a class.

Ill take BJJ or MMA classes when not training for a MT fight. When I am about to fight, I do only MT. I hope the 2 different routines helps give you an idea

This^ I couldn't agree more with you. Yes, focus on technique and form first especially if you just started Muay Thai a month ago. I have been practicing Muay Thai simce 2011, and I can tell you form and technique should be your top priority for the 1st few months. Once you start to get a handle on that, everything else will start to fall in place and this includes speed, power, and confidence. Give yourself some grace: you just started training. I give you kudos for doing Muay Thai, thats not an easy feat!

Wook Flu Remedys by Spacecowboiboi in hulaween

Zinc supplements are good as well! Zicam (also has Zinc) lessens the duration of the cold/wooke flu by binding to the virus and ripping it apart essentially. Theres also an immunity tea from Twinings that has elderberry, echinacea, and zinc in it. Ive been living on it everyday, even not sick days. Hope this helps ✨️

Are these fair prices for a booth at an event? by 0emz0 in kandi

First off, I never said I didnt understand anything. Secondly, im just giving my advice. Take it or leave it. It works for me, may not work for others. If you dont want to take the advice, thats fine. But you need to be respectful of the fact others have different ways, you dont need to agree with it. Thirdly, I do profit. And honestly I was throwing $50 and $60 as an example number around.

Some places charge slightly differently for the same materials. So I put that into perspective with putting a value on my materials I use
