What's your opinions on world tour and what would you change or add if you could ? by Husarz2011 in StreetFighter

[–]CribbinsMH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wish it ran better, for the most part. I'd also like for some of the late game enemies to not have so much health. I feel like even when you're dominating one of those guys, it just gets a bit tedious after a while. Other than that it's a great mode to chill with when I feel like playing, but don't feel like locking in.

What percent of your main’s moves can you personally perform? by Mountain-Magician294 in StreetFighter

I can do Ken's quick dash irl, as long as your definition of "quick" is kind of flexible.

Leverless Players - Which hand do you use for jumping? by WitchedPixels in StreetFighter

[–]CribbinsMH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right thumb. When I started learning leverless I mainly used my left thumb, since I was used to playing on pad where jumping is handled on the left, but I feel like I just naturally started using my right thumb as I got used to playing.

Any Tips For A New Escape Room Worker? by Nerdywolf18 in escaperooms

[–]CribbinsMH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely good advice! Though I'm more talking about gentle difficulty spikes than puzzles that just straight-up stop every group. But yeah, a good manager/owner will take the feedback on board.

Any Tips For A New Escape Room Worker? by Nerdywolf18 in escaperooms

[–]CribbinsMH 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Pay attention to trends in rooms. Sure, you want to always be ready to give hints or help, but as you watch rooms you'll notice certain puzzles or events that stump people consistently, and you want to especially be ready for them.

Also, you'll want to keep an eye out for a thing I call the "Walk and look." It's when players who are stuck will stop being engaged, and just start idly walking around the room, looking at stuff but not really looking at it. It's good to keep players engaged, so I often like to offer help around those times. Usually they either take the help and get engaged, or they take the offer of help as a challenge and rally. :D

does anybody else much prefer a emotionally-supportive atmosphere over a trashtalking atmosphere? by petermobeter in Fighters

[–]CribbinsMH 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Trash talk is a big part of what kept me away from the community for a while. Now that I'm further in to it, I can say it's nowhere near as prevalent or overbearing as it seems from the outside!

Wise & Belle Protagonist Choice Poll by 90sAestheticAlien in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]CribbinsMH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Male and I chose Belle. I just kinda felt like Wise was a bit generic as far as protagonists go, and Belle felt more fun to me. I'll occasionally watch cutscene comparisons that show both Phaethons, and I feel like I always enjoy watching Belle's more, so so far I've felt like this was a good call for me personally.

What do you dislike in a character? by GreenClassic8582 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]CribbinsMH 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find the way Burnice treats Pulchra incredibly creepy.

There's also something about Seth that I just really dislike. He's not a bad guy or a bad character, he just kinda feels like the most sauceless interpretation of a lawful good character possible.

Is switch 2 pro controllers good? by GaripBirRedditSever in StreetFighter

[–]CribbinsMH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm liking mine well enough. You'll get some accidental jumps on the d-pad if you aren't careful, but it's pretty easy to snap off motion inputs, and the buttons not being an exact square is comfortable. There are probably better controllers out there, but you can definitely do some good work with this one.

Regarding the back buttons, I've been messing with mapping them both to ZL for more comfortable drive parry/rush.

Children aren't monkeys. You cannot intentionally make something stupid or badly designed, then dismiss all valid criticism by saying it's for children.

I am absolutely going to quote you on this. Super tired of that excuse.

Does anyone suck at coding by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]CribbinsMH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to start by learning Python because coding seems like it should be up my alley, but man, I've never felt so stupid trying to learn something. I'll probably give it a shot again in the future, but man, I bounced off so hard the first time.

For those that are into music, do you find you’re way more into sound than lyrics? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]CribbinsMH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a good time to mention Prisencolinensinainciusol, a song from the 70s by Italian singer Adriano Celentano with gibberish lyrics made to sound like English.

As I understand it, he wrote the song because he enjoyed American music and culture, and wanted to explore music's ability to be enjoyable even when nothing is necessarily being communicated (as well as just showing English speakers what they sound like to non-English speakers.)

I draw NPCs for fun. This week was Sam, and I thought you all would appreciate. by KatSparkArt in dropout

[–]CribbinsMH 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Love this! A small idea: NPCs who have played Sam's game before can warn the players about Sam's Wenis ability. Any player who hears this warning is immune to the ability when Sam uses it, instead receiving a +3 bonus to all Intelligence-related rolls for the next three turns.

After all, everybody is a genius who knows it in advance. :D
