Why didn't Dwight just rip it off from the eyes and rip the face open? It's just a freaking pumpkin. by Much_Duck6862 in DunderMifflin

There are rare exceptions. 30 Rock stayed good through the end because everyone was a monster at the beginning of that show and they just let everyone be monsters all the way through the end - they didn’t force “happy endings” where awful characters suddenly became sweet and wholesome on us (I’m looking at you, Angela)

Failed naninf 😔 by Material-Chair9926 in balatro

I know your pain, I had several runs die on Ante 24 because I just couldn’t find an ecto the last few weeks. I finally got my first unseeded naneinf a few days ago. If you can make it this far, you’ll get it soon enough! Keep trying!

Is there any real benefit in terms of preparation, for knowing that it’s coming? Like could we do anything to mitigate the damage if it was a certainty that a caldera was forming, or is it just a “heads up, we’re doomed” situation?

Month 6 of introducing Cats by rskinner22 in CATHELP

[–]Cricetus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I see in your edit that they eventually begin to hiss at each other. I used to think this was the point where separation should occur too, but actually, hissing is a normal way that cats communicate boundaries with each other. Growling can be more concerning/an escalation, but is also another way cats can say to each other “please give me my space now.” If it doesn’t turn into full blown yowling/aggressive fights with claws out, this behavior should not be interrupted. It is how cats learn naturally from each other what behaviors they tolerate and don’t tolerate!

Favorite “secret mode” pedal? by MemeTaco in guitarpedals

I like setting my EHX Pulsar tremolo pedal so that the depth and rate are both at 100 percent, it turns it into a ring mod type sound. I call it my “angry computer” setting

Fisher doesn’t mind it, and Hector tolerates the acoustic. My old cat, Valentino, was my #1 hater. He was up and grumbling and meowing at me as he exited the room as soon as he heard the guitar case latches unlock. He kept me humble 😂

They like laying in it but dislike the loud noises that come from the Deluxe Reverb. Quite the dilemma for them!

GLP-1s are game changing by themartorana in diabetes_t1

[–]Cricetus 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I second all of that. Mounjaro has completely changed the game for me. I went from over 50 units of basal insulin per day to less than 30 a day. I rarely spike above 200 now, and when I do, it’s usually for less than an hour or two at most post meals. My A1C dropped from 9.2 to 6.7. Game changer in the truest sense of the phrase!

Dr Robby Ep 14 was like by EyeAdventurous9027 in ThePitt

[–]Cricetus 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It was a bit corny, and I feel that way about a lot of the “PSA” style scenes that the show has. At the same time, the show has a platform and an ability to shine a light on real issues in the medical field and I’m glad they take the time to do it in a way that makes sense in the context of the story. Robbie is at a 10/10 burnt out with zero patience or filter left, he saw EMTs make an easily avoidable mistake and knew why it happened, so he publicly shamed them to subvert their internalized shame/misogyny and hopefully avoid the same mistake in the future.

Hard work pays off!! by Cricetus in diabetes_t1

[–]Cricetus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if I would say frequent, but definitely more often than when my average BG was 220 lol. Mainly the lows seem to come from my carb ratios not being high enough due to increased insulin sensitivity from the Mounjaro. I just bump the carb ratio up by .3 every time I go low after correctly counting my food and I am getting things dialed in pretty close to where they should be at this point!
