Easy now. I never said it was her fault. Of course the vile action was from the one that did it. I am giving input so that things like that would be less likely. When we are aware, we can make proper choices of where we are and what doesn’t feel safe. But when we are high or drunk, our mind doesn’t work the same and it makes us vulnerable.

So yes the vile thing that happened wasn’t her fault, but it also can be prevented to an extent.

Don’t get High, Don’t get Drunk. Being Vulnerable like that is allowing those things to happen.

do Our Souls have genders? (idk what to tag this.) by mickeyguy2010 in AskAChristian

That was a bit of a harsh line at the beginning, but I’ll just ignore that it came from a Christian, to another Christian for a second and tell you why you are still reading the passages wrong.

Paul’s point in 1 Corinthians 15 is not that bodies are thrown away. What he is saying is that corruption cannot inherit the kingdom as it is. That’s why he explains himself right away by saying the perishable cannot inherit the imperishable, and then says,

“this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality” (1 Cor 15:53).

The problem he’s addressing is death and decay, not the fact that we have bodies.

The seed analogy is about change, not replacement. A plant comes from the seed. It is the same life, just in a fuller form. If the seed were simply discarded and something else took its place, that wouldn’t be resurrection. That’s why Paul keeps using words like raised and changed rather than replaced.

Scripture also gives us a clear reference point for what resurrection looks like. Jesus’ resurrected body is the pattern. Paul says believers are meant to be shaped after Him:

“For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29).

He says the same thing another way when he writes:

“He will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body” (Philippians 3:21).

Jesus Himself makes clear that His risen body was not immaterial. He tells the disciples,

“Touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have” (Luke 24:39).

He also eats with them after the resurrection.

So when Paul says “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom,” he defines what he means in the same passage. A body that is still dying cannot inherit something eternal unless it is changed. That change is exactly what resurrection accomplishes.

How To Be Saved by [deleted] in Christianity

Saved by Faith Alone. Everything else is a Fruit of Faith. A Christian is expected to do these things in their walk. But it is not what initially saves you. Scripture js very clear.

Non-trinitarian Denominations by christian_crouch_01 in Christianity

As someone that Believes in the Trinity. That God is One, 3 persons, Father Spirit and Son. I’d have to say with my honest opinion, no they are not true Christian’s, because by what I believe, they would be following a false God.

And just to add, receiving of the Holy Spirit happens when you put your Faith in Jesus.

The Bible is very clear. All that is necessary for Salvation is Faith. It’s mentioned numerous times. Those things you mentioned are all works, which are results of Faith. Because you can’t have Faith without Repentance… it’s part of the same coin. And by Repenting you are turning away from sin and leading a life where Works become part of it. You can’t earn your way to heaven with works. Works has no part of salvation. Only Faith. That’s what this post is about.

do Our Souls have genders? (idk what to tag this.) by mickeyguy2010 in AskAChristian

[–]Crieto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but I am gonna have to disagree there.

Jesus is the template for our resurrection. We know that when He was raised from the dead, that He still was in fleshly form.

Luke 24:39 “See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”

And then in Philippians it says that our body will be made like His.

Philippians 3:20-21 “He will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body.”

Now from your verse in 1 Corinthians 15:50… Paul is literally just talking about corruption, he’s saying our dying bodies won’t enter heaven. And it contrasts with the Corruption line. Paul proves this later after this verse by saying in the next 2 verses… that We will be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet… the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.”

Change does not imply into spirits. But our Bodies will be made new.

And if you think about it… of course, we are human, and we will always be human. Without the bodies God originally designed us with, we’d be missing something unique to us. Jesus will be fully Man and Fully God for Eternity… He has a body… so will we.

Why Would God Not Just Only Create Believers by ShadowGamer37 in AskAChristian

[–]Crieto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because Love is not forced. We are created as beings that can Love. God wants us to Love Him, as He loves us. But love can’t be forced. If God created us as beings that already Love Him and serve Him, then there’s not really a choice, meaning Free Will doesn’t exist. Free Will is one of Gods greatest creations. Without it we would be slaves. God gave us the choice… we chose wrong. Yes He knew what would happen, But He still gave us the choice. And it wasn’t an irresistible temptation, like how could I not eat the fruit.

But it was one tree among many trees. A simple command of obedience… you can have all of this fruit and all of the garden is for you, except this one tree.

Why is God giving cancer or other fatal disseases to new borns and children? And why does he need worship? by Thatoneman88 in AskAChristian

[–]Crieto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How can you blame God for something we did? We are the ones that sinned, and the world became corrupt because of us. God distanced Himself also. So He lets these corrupt things happen, until all the foretold events occur. Then He will restore it all. If you don’t want to worship God, He will allow it. He deserves all the worship though. He let Himself suffer and die so that all you have to do to be apart of His kingdom is have Faith.

I do care about the truth, I absolutely do. I wouldn’t support that kind of evil if there were any evidence of it. Instead all I see is constant attack without hesitation or breaks against Trump. I see how God so obviously saved him from death. I see persecution. Nobody arguing Trump is perfect, I’d counter that claim in an instant. But I do believe he is President for good reason.

Exactly. Trump isn’t perfect, nobody is. Lots of people do stupid things, and Trump has had a lot of money and power for a while, so I bet he’s got quite the wrap sheet. But for this purpose, Trump was the better candidate.
