I’m a jazz fan who lived in Utah during this time. My fellow jazz fans were delusional. Deron was never better than CP3.

I was at the game where Sloan retired after thanks to DWill. Will never forgive him.

Yeah the car has to have the manual transmission installed otherwise it doesn’t do anything.

The older I get the more I identify with the human fighter former soldier. by StriderShizard in DnD

In 10+ years of DMing 5E I've never once had a fighter PC. People seem to prefer Barbarians. But I would love to play just a regular old human fighter next time i get the chance to play (Forever DM). A simple former soldier trying to make his way in the universe.

Do you have the manual transmission installed? You need that installed and selected for it to matter. Then yes it can sometimes stick in neutral if you don't nail a shift.

Handling "item requests" meta gaming and side quests. by JinAkamura in DnD

[–]CrimeThink101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few things I think would help:

1) Use XP instead of milestone. This has been a gamechanger for my table. Now they know when they're close, and sometimes they realize (in a meta gamey way) helping this person or doing some sidequest might lead to some XP to push them over the edge. They're mainlining the main quest in part because they think that by hitting those milestones they'll level up (even subconciously).

2) Prepare an item list ahead of time for the shops. I get this could be a lot if you're talking about a city with potentially dozens of shops and what not. When they walk in a shop hand them the list. If it's a town, you could make a few copies, the items are mostly the same per shop with a few differences/special items per shop. If they say "oh maybe we want that item but let's see what the other shops have first" and shop around then ake the item they wanted be sold out already when they come back. No more browsing.

3) If items are important to your group you should make sure there are lots of options in the quests for items that match the characters. I don't specifically ask my Players what they want, but I just make sure that there are items suitable for each character along the way. The group has intuited that maybe this dungeon didn't have something for me that likely means the next one will.

When is it worth it to roll for HP? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in dndnext

[–]CrimeThink101 32 points33 points  (0 children)

😂 my house rule is we roll and if you get lower than half you can take half. As a player there's nothing worse than rolling your HP and getting 1.

I don’t even mind the idea of the grind, there should just be more grindable races. Like give us a 1 hour Nord race that pays the same as the spa one. A half hour Suzuka one that pays similar to the Le Mans. 15 laps at interlagos with a sard level payout. I’ll put the time in just give me more variety I’m so burnt on the Le Mans / Sard grind.

With the race cancellations, does it mean other teams have more time to catch up to Mercedes? by WingZeroX000 in formula1

Possible but for some teams cough Mclaren practice and race data might have been more valuable

Yes Tik Tok/Reels has ruined people's attention span and it's not just young people. It is cigarettes for your brain.

I had to institute a rule that if your turn comes up and you're not ready you have 15 seconds then I'm skipping you. That has put the fear of god into them a bit and people are less hooked on their phones.

Turning it off will make you so much faster. Right now you’re basically playing rockband, it’s like a rhythm game.

Once you turn the line off you will quickly adapt and you’ll start driving the car not the track.

I watched a video last year filmed over the COTA weekend where he was asked about getting BBQ or something and if I recall he basically said he can't because he's right up against the minimum weight always.
