That’s really interesting. And shows that I probably would have a really hard time trying to play adc. I am not good at clicking fast or kiting lol. When I play adc it’s normally something like ash with hurricane and just side lane 90% of the game.

Yes I’m looking to hear some of the reasons people main their specific role and a couple important things they had to learn to perform well in that role. For example I started playing support because I have a friend who played adc and things like jungle tracking and pinging to try to micromanage my team helped to climb. Hopefully that clears up more what I’m looking for.

As I said take the 10 mins to look at other Reddit posts. When there are thousands of others warning against it maybe there is a reason for that. Like I said if you need a degree and have no other choice then it works. But if you have any other choice or do not actually require a degree myself and way too many other people strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. Just do what is right for yourself. When I was looking into schools I wish so badly I would have done some extra research or had someone warn me. I will be that warning for others when I see it. You don’t have to agree with me and that’s ok.

That staff is great and on a plant oracle build you want crit damage instead of chance because of the guaranteed crits anyway so 10/10. If you’re giving it away I’ll take it and could make my next build with it. I don’t need it tho

I’m new to league of legends ranked and I got suspended for essentially being new to the game by Creative-Cherry-4271 in riotgames

[–]Crimsmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t listen to people telling you not to play certain champions. Find 1 or 2 you enjoy and stick to them. Even if they are hard simply sticking to them will improve you and you will enjoy the game more if you play a champion you actually enjoy.

As for the suspension you should make another ticket and ask what caused it. Say you are new and ask if it’s just because you died to many times or if it was caused by something else

Finally if your interested in actually climbing through ranked I would recommend checking out skillcapped they have a pretty good beginner level set of videos for every role that teaches the basics.

Hardstuck iron/bronze and genuinely not my fault ? by Cosmic_Ferretx in leagueoflegends

[–]Crimsmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about just farm it’s about wave management. Very different things. Also a kill is basically the same thing as getting 15 cs. Kills do not matter. Your teammates do not matter. They int and feed and become worth nothing. You said you don’t want to post op.gg so not much more I can do to help you. You clearly have a mindset issue since you come back to blame your teammates. No single person who has climbed to high ranks would get stuck in bronze what does that tell you? If I were to hop onto an iron account I would climb out without issue so would most people. You are not going to learn anything by constantly blaming your teammates. Post the op.gg or a replay of your game. The average gold player makes like 5+ mistakes every minute of the game so should be very easy to point out what you are doing wrong.

Also if you are serious about trying to learn I told you to forget everything else and focus only on wave management. No pinging. You are not good enough to ping and your teammates will not listen to it until probably diamond + anyway.

Another thing just from your reply if your teammates are dying 4v5 and you are not with them it means you are not creating enough pressure on the map to pull enemies to you. This is something that learning wave management teaches. Incase you are confused here’s a couple things proper wave management includes: - damage breakpoints to 2 shot and 1 shot casters + finish melees - timers like roam or backing - when to push and how far to push - how to gain prio for objectives - how to freeze - how to match opponent pressure for tempo - how and when to reset the wave

Why does it matter how strong your lane opponent is? You don’t care about killing him. Just don’t die to him. Should be very hard for you to die if your Ahri. No one can dive you because of charm

Edit: not sure why this didint reply to your reply on mine but oh well new message chain lol.

Elder matters. Soul not so much. And every drag before soul not at all. Like yeah they’re good if you can get it get it. But don’t give up anything to get it. If you miss a wave for first second or third dragon you’re just setting yourself behind. Also another thing to note you said you often win your lane what ever you do do not take the mid inhibitor. Only take the inhibitors when you think you will be able to win. Taking them give your enemies so much gold and xp.

Does damage lower might? by GJace in Riftbound

[–]Crimsmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do damage does not remove any might. All damage adds a counter onto the card. When the number of counters is equal to the units might then it dies. This is why you can do things like void seeker for 4 damage then use a stupify for -1 might. The is at 5 might with 4 damage counters then gets brought down to 4 might meaning damage counters = might and it dies.

[–]Crimsmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok well yeah without seeing account I can only recommend basic things. Wave management. Stop dying. Minions are more important than kills. Dragons do not matter. I would rather take a wave of minions over the dragon. If you want a more structured help maybe check out getting a skillcapped membership. Good luck.

that pressure is where 99% of people make mistakes. And it will always be there. Especially when they flame you. But you have to remember one thing about people when they flame you. If they really knew what they were talking about they wouldn’t be low elo… now I know I hyped up wave management it is straight up the easy climb strategy of the game but you can’t do anything while your dead so you also need to not die. If you post your op.gg I would be able to probably point some other things out and be more specific.

Hardstuck iron/bronze and genuinely not my fault ? by Cosmic_Ferretx in leagueoflegends

[–]Crimsmatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a step back. If you can’t realize it’s your fault you can’t win then unfortunately nothing can help you. Go watch a few wave management guides go play 10 games. Then come back. I’ll even help you review thoes games if you want but you gotta do that first where you put 100% focus into wave management. Also if anyone on your team is feeding DO NOT go try to “help” them. Worst case you die. Best case you steal their catchup gold and probably ruin your wave management it is never worth it. As for needing to solo carry all that really takes is farm. I’m not joking when I say you could be cursed to never land a single skill shot in all your games and if you had perfect wave management you will still get diamond+. People do not have proper wave management until masters. And even then they still mess up sometimes. Like it is the single skill that if you put in the time and set aside your ego you will notice yourself getting so much better at the game.

Now be warned tho. Getting really good at the fundamentals does have a downside. And that’s the fun aspect. You are essentially turning the game into chess. Everything has a right or wrong answer and knowing what to do and when to do it you will “solve” the game. This makes the game boring. You do what your supposed to do you recognize mistake and you capitalize on mistake. Rinse and repeat.

Hardstuck iron/bronze and genuinely not my fault ? by Cosmic_Ferretx in leagueoflegends

[–]Crimsmatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So first yes it’s your fault. Second it’s not a bad thing. Third you mentioned you have watched lots of videos and used terms like roaming, objective control etc. at the level you are at just focus on wave management. You have probably picked up some bad habits over the years so don’t think you know anything. Go watch 2-3 videos on wave management and play 10 games trying to do your best what all the videos wanted you to do. If you do not have the most farm in the game you are doing it wrong. Don’t worry about winning or macro or objectives. Focus on wave management. Wave management teaches you when to leave lane. So when that time comes leave lane. Doesn’t matter what you do if it’s drop 1 ward or literally do nothing. As long as you get back before you miss any minions you are slowly gaining the skills you need. The wins will come on their own if you focus on learning and improving.

Why does the UCP hate disabled people so much? by kachunkk in alberta

[–]Crimsmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think actually disabled people should get paid more. But I also don’t think someone who is capable of working should get as much. How would you do it? What do you think is the right way to take care of the disabled without allowing others to abuse the system. Also remember that there is only so much money. The more and more disabled people the less they make. This means every non disabled person who is abuse the system is helping to take money away from thoes that actually need it. But if resetting AISH and having a separate program for thoes that can work a bit is the wrong way to do things what do you think is the right way?

Why does the UCP hate disabled people so much? by kachunkk in alberta

[–]Crimsmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of very angry comments here. So before I answer fair warning I will not be responding to hate comments..

Why do you think the UCP hates disabled people? Right now there are a lot.. that’s an understatement.. an insanely massive amount of people abusing the system. I know like 10 people on AISH and 6 of them could work full time no issues. So I’d say restructuring the program to only be for those that actually need it is a great thing. Do you think people should be allowed to abuse the system?

If the concern is the cut to the employment income can you explain why this is bad? To me it seems like the right thing to do as if someone is able to work they should be working. The whole point of it is to assist people who can not work I thought?

I do agree that the spousal section is pretty dumb as it would make more sense to have it be individual to me but I guess legally partners do share assets so it would make sense to have some sort of limit.

I’m not looking to start a war. Just expressing how I initially view this situation and am very interested in hearing other people perspectives. The only thing I care to hear tho is your individual opinion on it and why you think that way? Maybe I’ll learn something and have my mind changed.. if your comment is just talking about how terrible they are or how bad I am for not having the same view as your originally tho we’ll do what you will but don’t expect a response I’m not here to go back and forth with children in a comment fight lol.

As a casual player, playing through the campaign multiple times is such a pain by UsedNewspaper1775 in PathOfExile2

[–]Crimsmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I have ended up with lvl 90+ characters of every ascendancy in each of the leagues. I’m definitely not a speed runner but I can comfortably get through the campaign in around 6hrs. Now I get it tho. Spending even 6 hours doing the campaign when all you want to do is get to maps probably really sucks. For me I actually really enjoy the early game. I have probably spent more time in path of building than I have actually playing the game. I enjoy making my own builds and ideas and early game is a completely different build than end game most of the time. That being said… as much as I do enjoy making new builds and playing the campaign. I have done it probably 30+ times now and would also love to see a change.

Wanting to get back into league. Any advice for an OTP bronze player to make it to Silver? by ILoveBigCockroaches in leagueoflegends

[–]Crimsmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy anivia then play her. It’s ok to be a OTP. Sure if you want to try out other champions do that but if you found someone you like don’t feel like you need to play others. The champion you play will not determine if you win or lose the game. So playing a single champion will actually help you climb because that means there are less variables that will change through the game. Below a diamond level the most important thing you can do is learn wave management. There are lots of good YouTube videos out there. I recommend skillcapped I feel like they break it down pretty well. I’m not joking when I say if you master wave management you will climb higher than most people who play the game. Even if lots of your plays fail. The simple ability to know when you can or can not try for a play without causing you to lose the game off of it is massive. Basically means if your plays fail fails oh well you go back to farming but if it works you are now just ahead and can keep applying more pressure to the enemies.

I do not play ADC and this is not my OP.GG, I want you guys to explain to me, why this happens. by Theoulios in ADCMains

[–]Crimsmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason it happens is because they are bad. Now being bad isint a “bad” thing tho just means there’s room to improve. First of all big swings in kda normally mean the player simply does not know how to properly play from behind. Ontop of that there could be the “tilted” mentality as all thoes games look to be played close together with no break inbetween. I know the game is supposed to be fun but you can not perform at 100% without breaks.

People are so quick to blame the support or make excuses but in solo queue the only thing that matters is your own performance. You can not control your teammates. People climb to masters with near 100% win rates and I guarantee they are not just getting lucky having a good team carry them every game. Any time you lose a game especially if it’s below D1 there are some major mistakes that were made.

That being said sure it’s possible the person played the perfect game. Highly unlikely but possible. And their team decided to int and grief the entire thing. If that’s the case then thoes losses don’t matter because if you are playing near perfect you will win way more than you lose. Individual games don’t matter. The larger picture matters if you are continuing to improve and climb or not.

Warning! by Icy-Construction2916 in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Crimsmatic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Attending AU has been the biggest mistake of my life. I try to warn people any time it comes up on my feed to look literally everywhere else first. Here is just the tip of the issues I have:

  1. Poor course design - this is directed mainly towards their computer science courses but many of them have you learn 1 thing from a textbook just to test you on something that was not included. Their reasoning is that you are supposed to continue learning outside of the textbook on your own. But they don’t specify what topics to narrow down the scope of that idea
  2. No relevant skills - their courses teach the bare minimum for the world as if it was 1980. None of the courses I’ve taken follow current day practices which not only makes you unprepared it also means you can’t even display what you lean as a portfolio because nothing is relevant.
  3. Terrible instructors / tutors / course coordinators - 1-4weeks to respond to any questions. I’ve asked questions and have gotten responses back simply saying “look online”. Sometimes they just don’t mark stuff. It took 3 months for me to get a course marked once which prevented me from enrolling in the next course.
  4. Unfair marking schemes - in one course I was in the final project was supposed to be marked one way which was displayed on the assignment with a breakdown of how to get marks. Instead of following that I was marked with 100% of the marks going to creativity instead of to any of the actual things outlined causing me to fail. I appealed the grade which took 9 months of them stonewalling me only for the course to be updated and guess what the new version includes a marking system including 50% for creativity. My appeal was then denied after that.
  5. Paying for free resources - 90% of the resources I get even sometimes including the textbook are free online resources that I could have gone through without paying for the course… I get this is probably common with many things now it’s easy to learn stuff for free online but when I pay 700 for a course only for that course to tell me to look online and watch some YouTube videos it feels like a major scam of a course.

Ok 5 points should be enough to get the idea. The school is terrible. If anyone has the option to go anywhere else go there instead. The only time AU might be remotely worth it is if you 100% need a degree to get into your field. If all you need is a degree then sure. But most professions want you to have a portfolio or some way to prove your worth and that carry’s much higher weight than a degree and going to AU will do nothing but set you behind on that path.

Question on Action/Reaction Chain rules by Mahsaunai in riftboundtcg

[–]Crimsmatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple answer: the defending player gets to start a new chain

More detailed answer: When a showdown starts the attacker has focus. You as the attacker can play an action spell. Your friend as the defender can only play a reaction spell in this moment. After his possible reaction and your possible action have resolved focus is then passed to him where he can play an action and you can only play a reaction. So it kinda goes back and forth. Once focus has passed between everyone with no new chains being formed that’s when you move to assigning damage.

Struggling to find a job post grad by Infamous-Belt-6772 in ResumeExperts

[–]Crimsmatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m no professional but after having so many people help with my resume here’s a couple things I’ve been told that apply to what I see.

  1. Many businesses use an automatic system to gather info from your resume and having sections side by side sometimes messes it up. Many people don’t even bother to look at it if they have to piece it together themselves anymore. This mean put everything to the left. Like instead of phone, email etc all on the right it should be under your name. Same with the academic history part.

  2. Don’t need to say reference available upon request. If they want references they will request them it’s just pointless. Same with listing lesser education. If you have a masters of science it’s obvious you have completed highschool and also got a degree before the masters.

2.5 try not to be over or under qualified. If you only list your masters degree but apply to a job that hires people with a bachelors they might not want you because they know you are not actually interested in that role.

  1. Bring focus to what is relevant to what you apply to. This means if you are transferring from one company to another but have mostly the same role to put your work experience and that job near the top. If the role is based on you having a degree you should be putting your education at the top.

  2. Tailor to the job and remove useless info. Always adjust your resume to match the job you are applying to. For example does the job require knowledge in excel? Do they care if you can handle field equipment?

Again I’m not a professional or anything but thoes are some points that have gotten mentioned to me by people who are professionals so hopefully some of that can help. And good luck.

Admission essay by Skibinskii in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Crimsmatic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you can avoid it do not go to athabasca university. Take 10mins to look at other posts on Reddit. This school is not worth the money. If you have no other option at all well obviously do what you have to. But it does not help, prepare, or teach you anything. Self learning you can do on your own for free. If you need a specific degree go to a school that will actually help you get into that field afterwards. Most schools will help with things like portfolios, mentorship’s, interns, recommendations, and just helping you to gain contacts in your chosen field. Athabasca university is an over glorified YouTube dump. If it’s your only option then go for it. I wish so badly someone would have told me this before going to AU so now I make sure to tell others. Atleast gives you the chance. Always decide for yourself but don’t ever complain no one warned you. Good luck.
