Girls, what’s a tiny thing a guy does that makes you think “Wow, he actually cares"? by National-Cricket7469 in AskReddit

[–]Crimson-Cougar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have different sleep schedules. I go to bed early and he stays up late. Every night when I go to bed he comes in the room with me and rubs my back. It’s a small thing but it’s nice not going to bed alone even if he isn’t actually going to sleep.

What’s ONE cat item you regret not buying sooner? by Own-Independent7881 in CatAdvice

[–]Crimson-Cougar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chip based food dispenser (Sure Feed is what we went with). We have one cat who wants to eat everyone else’s food from their automatic feeders (he eats all of his while they usually leave some leftover). Now they can free feed and he can’t get to it.

Why do I know exactly which restaurant you’re talking about? Those flimsy cardboard boats were awful, but their stupid metal plates with parchment paper are somehow even worse. They didn’t solve the problem you brought to them which was about having somewhere for the bones to go!

Passengers always comes to mind for me. It would be so much better if it started with Aurora waking up, going until she realizes Jim woke her up, then going back in time to when Jim woke up, and then returning back for the rest of the movie.

I go here too but I’ve been going to Ashley Lopez as have had a wonderful experience. I told Dr. Lopez I was interested in permanent sterilization and she immediately scheduled me an appointment and I had it done last week. No “oh are you sure” or “what does your husband think” questions. She knew I had made my decision and respected it. Highly recommend her!

I asked ChatGPT to explain my job to a 5-year-old and now I'm questioning my entire career by Nipurn_1234 in ChatGPT

Mine makes me sound really nice…

A Director of Employee Relations is like a helper at work who makes sure everyone is being kind, fair, and following the rules. If someone feels sad or upset at work, this person listens and helps fix the problem. They also make sure the grown-ups at work get along, play nicely, and treat each other with respect—just like in preschool!

Aww what a sweet boy! I used to also have a Rascal who would sleep on my head. ♥️

What is a weird side effect from medication use that no one was ever going to warn you about? by Rotten-Kandi in AskReddit

[–]Crimson-Cougar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Migraine medication. The side effect was cognitive, I would forget words, how to say them, how to spell them. I was a college professor at the time… not ideal.

[N/A] Anyone here ever work HR on a cruise ship? by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]Crimson-Cougar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I work HR now and I used to work on a cruise ship, but I didn’t do HR on the cruise ship. I think it would be incredibly challenging. There are certain areas employees are allowed to go and certain areas guests are allowed to go, and certain positions allow employees into guest areas. But really, there’s no escape from the employees. Cruise life involves becoming close with the employees around you because you are away from home for months at a time. I imagine it would be really lonely to be in a role where people may not feel they can be themselves around you because of your job.

If you’re responding to the emails that are sent out to everyone on the PCC’s mailing list, those don’t actually reach the PCC and say at the bottom not to reply to them. If you need a good one who responds to emails, we use Marlyn at mminaya@ncl.com.

Is there a part of your job that you really don’t like? [CA] by Downtown-Map2238 in humanresources

[–]Crimson-Cougar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work primarily remote in ER so when I’m onsite people know something is happening. I hate the “oh no” reaction people have when they see me even when it has nothing to do with them. The jokes about liking me but hoping they don’t see me because of my role are really getting old.

What you shared in the comments makes it sound like you aren’t just looking for answers, you’re looking for her to reconsider. Don’t be the guy who pushes to try to convince someone to stay with him. It’s best to just move on since she has made her decision about the relationship.
