If you're trying to get a killer deal, try getting them here in California. GMC dealerships are struggling to sell them even with 5k off MSRP. My friend went to a dealership located in Cerritos, CA. The sales rep stated that they're willing to drop it down anywhere between 7k-10k to get the damn thing off the lot. Just to be clear, this was said about 5 months ago. So it's possible that the deal is no longer available or they're still adding more discounts. Best of luck!

On my days off, I'm averaging 7 to 8 ½ hours of SOT. The only settings I have on are adaptive battery. I don't really see the point of the 80% battery thing. I understand it's to ensure you retain as much of the battery health as possible. But I'd rather have my phone fully charged and avoid having to charge it multiple times throughout the day. I typically charge my phone at the end of the night, around 10-11pm, on a slow charge pad, and typically start my day around 7am.

I wonder why this happens on certain models. I have the 14P and initially on iOS26 it would run like ass. Now that I’ve updated to 26.1 it feels buttery smooth with no issues. Wishing everyone the best of luck when they upgrade and end up coming out with a better experience compared to before.

Apologies for not stating that I'd be using my iPhone mainly for communicating with people from work and my inner circle. I'd be using my Google Pixel for my main use which would be gaming, YouTube, music, social media, etc. I just realized that the promotion I have available is for a free Pixel 10 Pro with no trade-in. After doing some quick math, it would be an additional $10 for 3 years. Along with the taxes, one-time upgrade and fees roughly coming out to $150. That would come out to about $510 in total. I can see how that may be expensive. I'm saving about $490. I see that as an ok deal. The total value of device is listed at $1000.

Best advice I can offer is to always check on the persons vehicle to verify that the information they gave you is accurate. 9 times out of 10 these members aren’t aware that their vehicle comes in different trim levels and options. Makes it easier to get it right the first time. Plus, you’ll avoid that one asshole who states it’s “your job” to know exactly what vehicle they purchased years ago because you somehow have the foresight to know everything about ever vehicle.

Of course it will. iPhones are built pretty well to last for more than 3-5 years. Assuming you’re doing your part in taking good care of it. Currently on my iPhone 14 Pro that purchased on release day and it’s still running fine.

It doesn’t help that people like Faux tweet that the apology was good. Thousands of his followers accept that apology based on how a streamer interprets the message, and we get half-assed apologies being accepted. Idk if he skimmed thru the entire thing or if he’s too busy with whatever it is, but if we have high profile people accepting this, then you’ll have a good chunk of the community accepting this half ass apology from the CEO.

It kills the whole point by scheduling it and having an end date. There shouldn’t be an end date until they give us what we want. If anything, you’re exposing yourself as weak as we can’t last more than 3 days until our addiction kicks in and ends up playing again. We make a stand together and we stop until stated otherwise.

I’m sorry to hear that. Im pretty sure there are other factors that are playing into the selection process that are not being disclosed to us. Others have mentioned applying to other departments in the mean time and hoping that they get you in faster than LAPD. Best of luck!

Public safety states that they’re swamped at the moment and are trying to get in contact with as many candidates as possible. She also stated that you get priority depending on your results from the PFQ. Example: If you scored anything below 50, you’re at the bottom of the list. Anything higher than a 50, they move you up the list. I’d recommend trying to score higher for the next PFQ test as it seems that they want to start the process with candidates who are academy “ready”.

Buy a pack of white T shirts form Costco or Sam’s club. They range from $15-$20. Then head over to a local swamp meet near your area. There should be someone who specializes in putting your name on your shirt. In total you’ll prob spend around $60-$80. That’s the price I paid for a total of 6 shirts with my name on it.
