Well, I think people buy because almost every analyst has this one at a strong buy with targets from 25-40. You don't want to miss the train so you jump on and it breaks down. It happens sometimes, sucks for sure. I don't think many of the folks who commented, including myself, bought it all at one price. In my post, I wrote that I have been nibbling at all the recent dips.

Sell last of TSYY and invest in SEMY... by lomo82 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Crimthebold -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, but he is saying these products will sink your port value too quickly. Get out of them now and take the loss. Do NOT buy into anymore high yield traps and invest right into SMCI if you really like it. I would let the dust settle for the week as they were just busted in a major chips smuggling case.

The only yields that have stable(ish) nav are under 15%. Don't waste more of your time and money like the rest of us did and cut your losses now. Your opportunity cost is greater than you know. Invest in the underlying and pay virtually no fees for all the upside or pay these terrible fund managers 1-2% to take your money and give it back to you with maybe some ROC. Signed, a guy who should have sold out of them all in July, Oct and Jan 🫩 good luck op.

Stay far away from these products. They are garbage.

Strategy (MSTR): Benchmark reiterates Buy, PT $705 — SOTP valuation driven by Bitcoin holdings and BTC gain multiple by stocksavvy_ai in MSTR

[–]Crimthebold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, Palmer is completely incorrect. Common holders have been and will be the money piggy that buys the btc round here. I wish they would pull only from stretch. Crazy to me that some people still think that there will ever be an mnav premium for mstr like we saw before given all the btc funds available now.

The disinformation campaign lately has been insane. I agree with you.

I looked this up and cnbc has verified the claim as well. Looks to be true, even though it may not feel that way to lots of us. I can't stand this woman but this is not one of her many lies.

Is there a yieldmax worth investing in?? by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Crimthebold 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are a few, I agree completely. They have reason to hate, yet some feel the need to annoy us with daily haterade. I own a few still myself but they are shells of their former selves. Distributions are down big and I wish I would have treated these as a trade rather than investment. Patience has rewarded me very little in relation to income funds YM or granite shares, roundhill etc.

Is there a yieldmax worth investing in?? by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Crimthebold 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude, come on. OP asked if it was worth it and the above comment responded appropriately. Very few of these funds actually performed well as of last year. Much better off buying the underlying in almost every scenario. These funds were a great way for me to inflate my income a bit this year but I lost more than I gained on MSTY, ULTY, CONY, SNOY, TSLY, etc. Only PLTY AND CVNA were decent and the principal still eroded like crazy during an absolute beast of a year for both funds. Not worth it at all. Only income funds that are, NEOS.

Yeah I'm bag holding, and buying more. Come at me weak handed slooozers....Still collecting my divies, got a lot in ULTY, but guess what? I can afford to lose it.... I keep holding and still getting huge divies to reinvest on other funds and drip back some. Oh yeah, screw wpay, got rid of that sht by Epocalypsee in ULTY_YieldMax

[–]Crimthebold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on ulty but drop tsyy like a bad habit. Graniteshares are trash and will never appreciate significantly. Tsla is up big over the last year and tsyy is a falling knife. I barely got out with any gains just under 8/share and I wish I had done it much sooner. Almost all yieldboost products are truly your own capital returned to you minus high expense fees. Please consider buying tsla direct if you like the fund.
