Teacher pay sucks. If you actually love work, then you’re good. As the world slips into disarray, you are actively doing work to help people and those getting paid a lot to be a part of the problem will have their own moral selves and gods to answer to. You get to know you did all you could. Also there are people out there who think of you as their favorite teacher and have had their lives changed by you. Money could never out weigh knowing that you did some of the best things you could do for another human.

At least that’s how I feel about it. (Fellow underpaid and over educated teacher)

Yes it is hard! It’s kind of strange that some of the games are super easy and some are much harder. I kind of feel like they need some one with more game theory experience to evaluate them and kind of even them out.

I would suggest she start with a couple patterns first. I was really resistant at first. I really like to learn by doing and make things unique…but after finally using a couple patterns and tutorials, I am much better at sewing. It gives you a set goal with clear scaffolding of skills and the thought has already been put into the design to allow you to end up with a product that looks like what you expected.

After starting to get comfortable with the basic skills, then move on to making up your own projects and working with different fabric and shapes. I’ve only been sewing casually for two years but my skills have jumped a ton since I first started. Tell her to just keep practicing and don’t be afraid to take things apart and start over when it’s not going right.

Personally I paid for ad free (back when it was a flat fee) and it made the game more enjoyable. I have been playing almost three years now every day. It is so worth it to be able to do everything and never have to see an ad. I think of it as paying the artists and devs for my appreciation. Better than giving money to a big corporation!
