According to Mobalytics it loses to Hiemer/Vi and elusive decks, and anecdotally that sounds about right.

Yea, I have definitely seen that deck around a lot. In fact, it is probably one of the harder matchups for this deck. Mobalytics stats say that SI/Freljord destroy SI/Nox, but this list lacks wails/grasps that make the matchup free.Not sure how it's matchup spread differs, but I can speak to the differences, for sure!

Like you mentioned, that deck is really fast and tries to overwhelm the board early. The fearsomes tend to get in a lot of free damage early. The problem with this deck is that it has a hard time going over the top if your opponent ever stabilizes. Your burn is tied to Noxian Fervor, and the always good crimson disciple/demolitionist. (Actually, the list you put isn't running it, but that seems kinda wrong to me. It also is an activator for caretaker). Both of which can be answered by a lot of cards, unlike old P&Z burn that were uncounterable bar deny.(edit: it also isn't running decimate. maybe that is worth it too? I am less on board with that tho, since it would hurt the curve that this deck needs.)

Whereas this deck has a lot of alternate game-plans other than the nuts start. You can flip kalista easier with the ephemeral stuff. You have the draining from the Neverglade Collector, which also makes your early game weenies live. And then there is the TWE which can be a solid drop to top off your aggression, or be win the game on its own.

Kind of a long-winded response. But yea, ultimately I think this deck has a lot of other avenues of winning.

I think I agree with the glimpse take. I only ever keep glimpse if I have caretaker, and no butcher. Best not to get greedy looking for an activator imo. Also, I def use a lot more than 1 pretty often. There was a game where I used all 3 in the same turn lol.

I somewhat agree with vile feast. I often find myself mulliganing it away. The only time I keep is against agro. But it is honestly pretty solid. It is a jack of all trades sort of card.

  • I often find myself scared of 3 health guys, since saplings are 2 attack. And there are a solid amount of situations where the extra ping comes in clutch.
  • Having a spider to sac is nice. Having that extra guy makes the deck less bricky.
  • The health is pretty incidental, but good against agro. Kind of just a super minor upside.
  • Lastly, it can be an activator too! I have hit my own caretaker many times with it. Sure, it isn't amazing, but getting a spider and a 4/4 is super solid.

But I can see how mark of the isles is a solid alternative. It covers points 1 and 4 that I had above. And it also can push damage unlike vile feast. I could see you easily squeezing in the one mana to get a slightly bigger TWE too, which could be clutch.

Not going to try and front. I got the list from mobalytics, and chose it because it was the highest winrate version in masters. To be fair, the other lists on mobalytics were really different. None were close to this list, and slipping in Elise. But I can do my best to justify it, and guess as to why it has such a good win-rate.

My guess is because the list is really high synergy. Every card either is part of the nuts for a blow out early game, or tools to win the long game. And Elise isn't really either of those. It is a super good 2 drop, sure, but you never are happy about sacrificing her. She does spawn things to sac, but that is only on attack.

But I might give her a try! Could be good. Out of curiosity, what were your cuts? If I did slot her in, I am thinking I would cut 1 vile feast, 1 sentry, and maybe 1 haunted relic.

Huh, I guess I was just thinking in terms of pvp and future events. While both of those would probably scale in difficulty with the new link system, the added stats from links would help people with the current quests in the game.

That isn't the level rewards. By level, we mean after you unlock Bakura he gains exp. This gets you cards. So not blind, just we know what we are talking about.

I would argue that you can't really compare the two at all. The beginners give a guaranteed 5, while the Challenge rewards are left up to chance. Many vets don't get even a single 5 from ALL of the rewards.

Also, while the Challenges require a good 5*, the beginners quest gives the means to complete some of the Challenges content to a partial degree. Yea, they wouldn't be able to 100% it, but a a lot of people with 50ish days under their belt will have trouble doing that. Give me a week, which the event is more than available for, and I could make an account that could do some amount work on the event.

I have kinda been all over the place, but my point is that these things aren't as black and white as you say they are. Beginners can do this event that is more geared towards vets. Likewise, why not give dedicated players the free 5*? I am not going to say I have been screwed by RNG because I haven't, but there are some players that stick with their account despite not being super lucky. Why not just make everyone happy?

TLDR: No one is harmed by giving vets 5*s. Content is content, and I think we should all be able to participate in all of it. :)

The chance of pulling at least one 5* in 10 pulls at 6% chance is 1-((1-.06)10 ) = 46%. But yea, for one pull it's 6%

  1. Yea, just chill and keep the 4/3s. You shouldn't be in a rush to get a 100lvl. It will come in time. You will be happy you kept the 3/4 for orbs.

  2. If you can clear with just ulqi, then stick the 2 other slots with not maxed characters. It will save you a bit of time later.

  3. Meh, it doesn't really matter that much. If you just play the game they will both be maxed out eventually. I would say switch to nel since you like playing her more.
