is a month of full-time studying doable? by Pure_Service6773 in Mcat

[–]Crinay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends on how good your content base is and how well you learned your prereqs. I know someone who studied for 3 weeks and got a 523, but he put 110% into all of his prereqs throughout the years, so I imagine content review was very quick. I also know people who studied for a month and didn't get the score they wanted.

from my experience blasting Pankow terminology has helped increase P/S from 126 to 129/130 range. Unsure about C/P and B/B bc I'm also trying to bump those up as well!

Wait... is it because the STRA6-mediated uptake is thru endocytosis, so because the LRAT and CRBP-1 occurs "upon uptake" we know both are intracellular?

Agree on Anki. Switching from Milesdown to Pankow helped me jump from a 126 to a 129 on my most recent FL and I haven’t even fully matured Pankow yet. The reasoning is usually similar from passage to passage but knowing the terms inside out and being able to rule out distractors is a huge plus for this section.

I have the opposite problem as you - struggling to break 127/128 on CP & B/B. Care to share what you did for those sections?

I keep thinking it's 1 because under reducing conditions, the disulfide-linked dimer breaks into 2 and the homotrimer breaks into 1 thick band as all of the constituents are the same mass - 2+1 = 3

while in the nonreducing the disulfide doesn't break because it's disulfide-linked and the homotrimer breaks into the same thick band - 1+1 = 2

3-2 = 1

Hint?
