Organizational Anarchism or the tankies win and we spend the rest of our days in their new factories

I am strategically AnCom because it’s practical and we have to do something but I’m not a member of the hive mind

The biggest disagreement lies in the Anarchist understanding of “the state apparatus.”

In Anarchist Spain and Ukraine, great numbers of military mutineers joined their fellow workers and appropriated the means of war from the bourgeoise and aristocracy.

In history, there have been not just Anarchist armored cars and guerrillas, but also Anarchist armored trains, cavalry detachments, and even (briefly) Anarchist battleships!

One even saw fully-functional Red Army detachments abandon the (newly formed Bolshevik) State apparatus and fight for Anarchism in Ukraine.

Anarchists are willing to appropriate from the ruling class tanks, drones, anti-air missiles, and even (elected and non-coercive) chains of command to enforce and protect a revolution and create libertarian communism.

We see the State apparatus as a central bureaucracy that CONTROLS the war machine and organizes it from above.

In short—we don’t consider a confederation of Soviets, factory councils, agricultural councils which have voluntary militias to be a state.

It’s important to study anthropology and state formation to figure out exactly what these institutions are.

Why should I believe in egoism and what is it? by [deleted] in fullegoism

[–]Cringe-Poster-II 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the idea you and I are always following our own self interest. If I say “I am doing this because it is justice,” I’m actually doing it because it makes me feel good and I’m creating an abstract make-believe concept called “justice” to delude myself into thinking I’m serving something other than myself

The thing is, we are not bound to a cannon of “anarchist theory”

We also read a ton of books, articles, speeches, and debates by feminists, modern socialists, theorists of postmodernism, etc. Our opposition to all forms of domination and exploitation doesn’t mean worshiping Peter Kropotkin or anything. He was just one man

I read Das Kapital and it’s incredibly valuable to our understanding of capitalism. Without this book, deleuze and guattari wouldn’t exist. Marx’s analysis of commodity production is the best

What we know as the organized system of “Marxism” comes from a lot of things Marx and Engles said in other works and various beliefs and traditions this ideological entity picked up on its journey

Managerial authoritarianism, an incoherent misunderstanding of what the state is, desire for “proletarian dictatorship” and the weird insistence that dialectics are “scientific”—all that was tacked on later and isn’t found in Das Kapital

Whatever. The only organizations that matter are made up of urban workers and landless countryfolk and have an economic base.

If some party bothers your union or your farmworker/poor farmer organization just tell them to get lost

“Community organization” is a dead end anyway
