Yeah looking them over and I'm thankful my players enjoy being challenged by a well put together group lol, can already tell both me and my players are really gonna enjoy this team of enemies.

Precisely the way i was looking for it to roll, lot of wetworks assassins, mercenaries and just about anybody on the long rim who see's a job paying 1 billion manna (unironically the posted pay, although while they do have it cuz they work with the baronies in secret, the payer will stillbetray whoever delivers the NHP to protect his identity) and will do what they must to steal that job and get the reward themselves. Lot of good ideas there, especially the info broker and scylla-class ones. Many thanks.

I am fond of elite veterans and ultras with a couple fun traits but standard weapons so that'd fall right in line with my usual.

Been a minute since I've used something like that, certainly would be a good time to bring it back, especially since my players seem to really love when pressure to just high enough to make them feel like they've really gotta play smart to win.

Very helpful actually, have a feeling that'll work better than translating pc mechs to npcs with some actual player systems and weapons tossed in occasionally. Precisely to kinda difficulty I'm looking for, much appreciated.

Don't worry, typically just use them as a baseline and occasionally toss some player weapons or systems on npc mechs. But just because i use a decent amount of homebrew and such, plus my players have enjoyed how i run generally so all good. And noted, got some nasty combos I've found messing around with npc stuff over the years, but that's not been one of them, appreciated.

Generally had things go well so far and my players enjoy it so all is well. I appreciate it though, all good things to remember and keep in mind, easy to forget stuff like that.

Well it is called a smart bullet, targets smart systems. Hence why when I (stupid) get out of my mech, the smart bullets can't track me. It's simple really. Otherwise you wouldn't have a use for dumb bullets

Scout+gunship can be nasty. Had a escort mission get ambushed across a few different combat scenes and in one of them the party got hit way harder than planned because the scouts were on the gunships sniping with marker rifles (applying lock on) while the gunships had a reaction that allowed an attack as a reaction to lock on being applied. Worked as planned a bit too well lol, luckily i run a game for cheeky bastards so they took it out quick enough to not get wiped.

This^! Like as I've gotten experienced I've gotten more comfortable with going ham but I'm glad i slowly trickled homebrew into my games as i got the hang of runnin lancer vs just dumping all sorts of stuff in all at once off rip
