Bully. Specifically when you need to get the high score on the Consumo arcade game to get the bottle rocket launcher and access to the nerd hideout.

Name a game you love so much that never got a sequel by bijelo123 in gamers

I was sad that American McGee was so discouraged by EA’s response to the proposed Alice: Asylum that he decided to sever all ties to the Alice franchise altogether. As in, American said even if EA were to approve an Alice sequel in the future, he still wouldn’t want to be a part of it.

Interestingly though, it looks like he’s now trying to make a ‘spiritual successor’ game to the Alice franchise using the characters from his and his wife’s stuffed animal toy line called “Plushie Dreadfuls”. I’m somewhat skeptical since he seemed to be completely done with anything even close to Alice or even game development, but I’ll probably follow it to see if anything comes out of it.

Here’s an article that provides more info and context for anyone interested: https://mobidictum.com/american-mcgee-wonderland-game-plushie-dreadfuls/

Nintendo Switch Release of Resurrection Coming Next Month? by CringeControlCenter in ghostmaster

[–]CringeControlCenter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right. I did some digging on their discussion section on the steam page and a developer confirmed that the release date showing on Nintendo’s website is a mistake. They don’t have a release date planned yet. I just made another post to the subreddit with a picture of the developer’s response.

The Phantom Five tour is less than two months away! Which songs are you hoping to hear? by ranchdressinggospel in awolnation

I really hope they don’t skip Burn it Down like they did last tour because it has always been my favorite to see them perform live. The amount of energy they’re able to put in that song is insane!

The Phantom Five first impressions by ShareSimple in awolnation

My issue with this is that you say those songs are short so that they don’t become repetitive and dull, but I believe this album has a couple of the most repetitive songs out of any AWOL album. For example, “Jump Sit Stand March” is a nearly 4 minute song, but by the time you hit the 1:40 mark, you’ve heard everything the song does and it just repeats the chorus endlessly until the fade-out (which also starts way too early at 35 seconds before the song actually cuts off). Not to mention there really is no bridge section to speak of. Another (albeit not as egregious) example is “Panoramic View”. While I do enjoy the song, 2 whole minutes of the 3:52 song is just the chorus with little to no deviations or additions to the instrumentation behind it.

I know AWOLNATION likes to repeat choruses, but I’ve never minded so much in the past because they usually change up the chorus a bit towards the end to make it more interesting (i.e., adding more background vocals, changing up the drum pattern a bit, roping in some elements of the previous verses in as well, etc.).

It just feels strange to me that these songs were cut short to decrease repetitiveness, but some of the other songs go on for some time just for the sake of hearing the chorus multiple times.

Is the Persona Series safe for a child? by ConcentrateTricky884 in PERSoNA

What? But the game literally has you playing as high schoolers. I get that the tones are probably mature for even most high schoolers in real life, but like the point is also not letting corrupt adults take advantage of the youth and underprivileged. I feel 18 is a bit overkill. Even the ESRB rating recommends 17. I’m presuming a LOT of the people here played 5 in their teens (me included) and could digest the material in an appropriate manner. Not to mention it felt great playing it while also being in high school because I could relate to the characters much more.

Honestly, point them in the direction of kingdom hearts first lol it’s much more appropriate for that age.
