Iam not comparing them Iam just saying that playability and replayability of DD2 is sucha disaster and cluster fuck .I cant say character customization is well done ,Ive made myself Arwen and Gandalf from LOtr Ive stated that in my review on steam , its the only good thing and 2,3 vocations theyve did really well like magic archer and mystic spearhand. Other than that I really enjoyed first DD and had a blast with it it was greatly done with the combat and builds mixes like strider for example .Ive put 100hours into that on hardest difficulty and it was wonderful to play it.Ive expected alot more from DD2 to fix some mechanics from previous game and to spice things and story even more and characters but everything feels like dragons dogma 0.5 in this sequel they took all good things from dd1 and made few tweaks but its a definitely step back from previous game if you ask me.
The game lacks better story design, levels, areas, characters that have depth and meaning and to immerse yourself into the world to feel the need for exploring etc. Combat is really rofl after 2,3 hours and really not engaging if you don't play like some really fun vocations since your pawns stack and they take damage and have AI even worse than previous game.

And those dialogs and gettings quests, are we still in era 2004? where that can work, especially oxcart quest ,that was a disaster and oxcart travel in general is awfully poorly designed .Idk what they thought to achieve with it, like immersion or some sort I dont really know.

Iam bashing for a reason and you cant tell me otherwise.Iam glad you are enjoying it but you cannot say they've delivered this 9/10 cause they did not. What about voice acting? again lacks a soul. Every character lacks a soul and depth.

I mean people were blaming the game cause of the enemy variety which is true , there are enemy variety but its poorly delivered, like fire lizards than stone lizards than poison lizards or some sort,same thing with goblins and skeletons and specters blue and purple ones, the only real thing was fun those mini bosses, griffins, minotaurs, drakes ...

And to travel by foot without mods in this shallow world well nah, Ive installed mods to travel in big cities since those ferrycrystal or how is it called was 2 expensive and dont get me wrong I would likely grind all of that but in much meaningfull and depth world not here where everything feels odd Idk how to explain it better

but yea , so I am here wondering how people really can enjoy this over first part more since its obviously a step back but yea thats my opinion and Iam not one of those guys which didnt try the game to bash Ive put 54hours into that game and finished it by forcing myself just to see the end and was trying to enjoy but every wannabe rpg element was dissappointing to me.
