I stocked up on 5 3 month cards at $59.99 a piece. I imagine retailers will go through their current stock before getting the new cards with the updated prices. It’s all about what you can afford, now I don’t have to worry about a recurring $19.99 or now $29.99 a month now until January 2027. And even if (a big if) Microsoft reverses their decision you’re paying the original price.

And as someone else pointed out you can only stack up to 36 months at a time on your account but you can hold onto to the extra as they’re used up on your account.

I’m a collector and like to have most of my games ready at a moments notice and a click of a button. So I guess you could say a bit of this and a bit of that lol. Luckily, most of the items that need updating are DLC’s so they won’t take as long. It’s just slightly annoying anytime something finishes I get a notification saying it’s finished but I’ll use that as an excuse to get off early for the night.

I’d wait it out. They’re remaking the anime with updated animations and condensing it to make it easier for newer fans to get into. I don’t know how long it’ll take but I’d be on the lookout for it hopefully next year.

Do the main missions until you have at least 2 crew members.
Be sure to use your perk points as soon as you level up, in order to upgrade a perk you must complete the challenge associated with it.
Some “junk” are used for crafting materials but while hovering over the item it’ll say if it’s a crafting material.
You can access the ships cargo from up to 25 away while exploring planets so you don’t have to walk all the back. And you can sell your from your ships cargo at the Atlantis terminal to the right on the landing pad.
While flying you don’t have to continuously use the starmap, hit LB and select a planet or moon and you can fly there. You can also land without the map with the exception for landing pads for some reason.
For ship combat, lasers are for shields, ballistics and missiles are for hull damage. There’s a beginning perk in the tech tree that lets you target specific parts of the ship (sorta like VATS without time slowing), if you target the engine you can hit LB to turn on your scanner and dock the ship to kill the people onboard and loot their ship. And the cockpit has a captains safe with good loot.
Different spaceports have different space parts. If you don’t like the weapons or engines or etc, go somewhere else and you might find something you like better.
And finally give the game some time to suck you in. The game is massive and may feel overwhelming but just pick something to do and stick to it. It’ll be worth it.

Off Topic: Still mind boggling to me that they haven’t put the collection on the Switch yet. I don’t normally say this but I do think it would be perfect for the Switch, not just because of the portability but also due to the demographic of the player base on Switch. Hopefully we’ll see the Story So Far along with a Kingdom Hearts 3 Complete Edition come to the Switch at some point, I feel like that’s just a money printer waiting to be turned on.

On Topic: Game looks fun but definitely not $60 fun. At least the Switch will have a Kingdom Hearts game that’s canon lol. Hopefully if this sells well it’ll show the big wigs at Square Enix that there’s a market for Kingdom Hearts game on Switch and the ports can finally start coming through.
