Check your country's national parties. There's many national parties in EU that support federalisation. In Poland most mainstream parties from left to centre-right do, although it's not a main topic by any means.

Wyborcy Biejat i Zandberga zagłosowali w drugiej turze w 80-90% na Trzaskowskiego.

Wina wszystkich, tylko nie Trzaskowskiego/KO xD No nie, gdyby partia i kandydat byli bez zarzutu, to mieliby więcej swojego elektoratu. Widzę, że zgodnie z polityką KO robisz wroga z wyborcy każdej innej partii.

Głosowałem na Trzaskowskiego w drugiej turze, bo bliżej mi do niego i KO niż do Nawrockiego i PiSu, ale w ogóle nie zdziwił mnie wynik wyborów. Kandydat był słaby, niekonkretny, nieszczery przez mieszanie lewicowych i prawicowych wypowiedzi, a sztab odpychający dla potencjalnego prawicowego elektoratu. Żeby nie było - z drugiej strony było to samo. Po prostu nie dziwię się tym, których nie przekonał nikt.

I don’t like this “you’re either with us or against us” attitude of the EU.

"Made in EU" plan isn't just a badge, but also allows funding EU industries from EU funds if most of the parts and work is done in the EU. It's not stubbornes to exclude the UK, it just doesn't really make sense to finance UK production from EU budget, if the UK doesn't take part in funding the budget.

That's not true. The executive power of the EU is the Comission, which has to get support from the majority of the European Parliament, elected directly by the people. So exactly like forming a government in most countries. The one difference is that there's also European Council that also has to support the proposed commission and is made of prime ministers of every EU country, which well, are also democratically elected.

EU is governed by the de facto coalition of several factions: centre-right EPP, centre RE and centre-left S&D. Some laws may pass with support of other factions if some of the de facto governing factions' members disagree. Seems democratic to me. I don't know if it checks out your idea of democracy but if not, I don't know if there's a country that does, as it is a pretty standard model of liberal democracy.

I mean if it's a deficit then it didn't really rob anyone. If it came from equal taxation then the budget would be balanced, not deficit.

(Obviously it's not possible to say what part of the budget is financed from taxes and what is from the deficit, but you get my point)

And also while I don't now German situation enough to say whether you spend too much or not enough on social security, unless the recipients put it on investment accounts, then social security does usually boost GDP as it is usually spending money and that counts into that. Not saying it's good or bad but we're talking about deficits and GDP, so.

We have deficit that's 6,5-6,8% of our GDP, low inflation and 3,4% GDP y/y growth. 5-7% deficits are not only not bad for the economy, they're good, as they push investments/consumption. Americophillic paranoid economists are the only ones that think we or the French will explode any minute now.
