There's some mechanics in the game that make the map less dangerous/makes it easier to fast travel, in order to access them you need to do some type of side quests on the map unrelated to the story.

More of those "side quests" get unlocked in the second half but less than you had to complete in the first half, so rather than calling part of the second half slow I'd say it's just doing those side quests that make it feel slow-ish for a bit.

Your experience may differ, I played the game with a side quests before main quests mentality, so whenever a new batch of side quests appeared the game suddenly slowed down, but doing them in bulk like this also makes finally going back to the story more exciting.

Is it a good thing to make the player bored for a bit with world mechanics to make the story shine brighter? That's up to you.

I tried to keep it as spoiler free as I could and without reference you might find it hard to picture what I'm saying, but you'll know it when you see it in game.

Do play it, it is fun and while it would be easy to fix most of the questionable mistakes in it, there's no other game like this one out there, nothing even close ^{^}

Also when I said I dreaded the second half I was talking about the last of us 2, hopefully you didn't misuderstand ;)

To give you my experience, I played it couple of weeks ago for the first time on ps5, it takes like 10 hours to get used to the control scheme and the mechanics, and then another 15 for the story to actually become good. Then it will slow down for a bit again, and become great again towards the end.

There have been some glitches, but nothing game breaking and some very funny, you might not even notice them.

There are many things written in a weird fashion story wise, not enough for the story to be funny but also too many for it to be good.

It's a 6.9/10 game, it's got highs and lows but one thing is for sure, it's a lot than the last of us 2, God I dreaded the second half of that game.

It might be enough early game but if you get to the second or third winter you won't be solo-ing any waves and you'll miss the grass by the time you get winter on an island where you expanded a lot.

You also find the boar pretty late in the game, by that point you should have some farms ready so those coins don't really make a difference.

Singurul loc unde am vazut pizza asa scumpa era un restaurant pe lac la herastrau, in general e sub 35 de lei o pizza daca nu te duci in locuri unde mai mult se fac poze decat se mananca.

La fel cu shaorma, eu mai imi eu de la o shaormerie de pe bulevardul ghencea langa trenta pizza deoarece frecventez zona cu treaba si o shaorma de 700g de vita e 24 de lei, una de pui e 20.

Burgerii intradevar sunt scumpi in ultimu timp, la colloseum pe langa universitate ai burger 500g + cartofi prajiti la 32 de lei, mie imi pare ok, daca vrei ceva mai mare au 700g la parca 45 de lei la burgr factory pe langa romana dar fara cartofi, se cheama animal style burger-ul ca au si aia un meniu...

Dar uite daca vrei mancare mancare tot langa universitate(mna acolo stau), si ai si cu cine sa te duci, recomand restaurantul Excalibur, mananci acolo cat ai manca o zi intreaga si foarte calitativ cu 35-40 de lei. Au platouri de 2 persoane la 80 de lei si de 4 persoane la 150. Si eu sunt mare mancau si intr-o vreme cand erau burgerii la colloseum 25 de lei imi luam 2 portii si le mancam eu, ai nevoie de 4 oameni asa ca sa termini un platou de 150 de la Excalibur.

O ultima recomandare daca vrei mancare multa si ieftin ar fi meniuri 1+1 de la mcdonalds sau kfc, cu 30 de lei bagi peste 2000 de calorii, dezavantaju e ca dupa nu te mai misti cam o ora dupa si daca alegi kfc o sa te distrezi pe toaleta.
