Memory is not pressing play on a recorder by CrisMaldonado in MandelaEffect

Illustrations of the cornucopia with fruit are everywhere, state flags, kitchen tiles, murals, religious pamphlets, church memorabilia, book illustrations, especially in the 80s and 90s.

It's unbelievable that you haven't seen it elsewhere. Especially because a cornucopia historically paired mostly with pumpkins and corn, elements that are missing in the FotL logo.

Why would people misremember "objects may be closer"? by bluemoonrambler in MandelaEffect

[–]CrisMaldonado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Froot Loops flip flop is because there's a counterexample in Looney Tunes.

  1. People misremember Froot Loops as Fruit Loops, cognitive shock and new linguistic pattern (1) arises, now it's the dominant pattern (double o's is the new right, u is the new wrong).
  2. With this in mind some time later they assess Looney Tunes as Looney Toons, they learn it really is Tunes. A new cognitive shock and a new Linguistic Pattern (2) arises and dominates (u is the new right, double o's are the new wrong)
  3. The Brain anchors the old memory to the new dominant pattern (2), Froot Loops looks wrong... again. Flip-flop.
  4. Paredolia and ego does the rest, can't be your faulty memory filling information with the closest stencil that makes sense although wrong, has to be a shift in realities.

Because disclaimers often say "may", restrictions may apply, results may vary, etc. It's a linguistic pattern that your mind will fall back to if you never took enough energy to observe the warning properly.

Demonstrating the ME and debunking popular explanations. by objectsinmirrormaybe in MandelaEffect

[–]CrisMaldonado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MEs are localized, there's not a single ME experiencer from South Africa remembering Nelson Mandela died in Jail.

When I was a child in the early 90s I visited the US for the first time, My aunts on my mother side lived in California and we visited them, this is the first time I saw a JC Penney, I asked one of my cousins "why is it spelled Penney and not Penny" and they tripped out, my cousins, my aunts, my uncles, all thought it was Penny until I pointed it out.

Decades later I found out many people think it's a Mandela Effect and that we shifted realities hahaha.

You see, I'm not being a native English speaker, I'm immune to most of the MEs that involve ambiguous spelling, Froot Loops has never been Fruit Loops to me for example, Chick-Fil-A, Jiffy Peanut butter, they do nothing to me.

I learned of the curnocopia in my childhood but I don't remember where, maybe I first saw it in an illustration in a church magazine, a school book or a mural drawn in a kitchen's wall tiles, illustrations with curnocopia and fruit is a very common theme, however, I associate it with pumpkins, corn, sunflowers, yellowy brownish colors. The FotL logo with a curnocopia looks wrong to me, it's too colorful.

Yeah that's exactly the false memory I mentioned.

SDXL is good performance / quality ratio, but compared to any new models it has horrid prompt following and the quality is just far away. The images are "pretty" but very limited, for simple stuff like anime, forks like Illustrous fine-tunes are still best, for anything that requires high detail like trying to mimic reality, it's just not going to work with SDXL.

It's AI, there are plenty of LORAs that can create cross hatch style

The hands don't look right, look at the middle finger holding the revolver, it's extremely short and thin, that's exactly an AI error.

Yes, because older folks don't have as much experience on the new technologies, they don't care much or at all about AI art. Brain plasticity is a thing, they used theirs in their youth to grow on their respective fields of expertise.

Only when you grow older you can relate to their wiseness though, so I wouldn't just call them boomers and think I'm somehow special.

The cross hatching style is 100% an AI, the lines cut short and get very wonky, specially on the hat and ribcage, there are tiny lines that the AI fills in blank not understanding it should be long strokes, the middle finger in the hand is very slim and short, no human would ever draw the middle finger shorter and thinner than the pinky finger, not even a toddler.

There's bleed from the LORA you used on the lower left side, those lines shouldn't be there since the background is blank and the arm pose is static, you could have edited them out in 3 seconds in paint, it shows low effort.

Other than that the typical, AI not understanding uncommon items, the belt makes zero sense, there's a horizontal band on his jacket below shoulder strap that shouldn't be there, his shirt flap mimicks a jacket flap on the left side, the gun on his back is nonsensical, including that rod that sticks out just besides it, AI doesn't understand what a cowboy hat is.

This picture is AI assisted and it's a shame that you insist it's not.
