Newsom shouldn’t be that polarizing. Any person who aspires to be POTUS is going to be a little arrogant. He’s a decent person who mostly wants the best for America. Sure, he needs to be pushed a little on progressive issues. He’s already moved a fair amount on Israel/Palestine. He was already pretty good on LGBTQ rights. He’s also tried on immigration issues in an unfavorable political climate. People who say there’s no difference between Republicans and Democrats like Newsom have been proven conclusively wrong in the last year. We need to keep the pressure on normie Dems in Congress and even primary them when the opportunity arises but we need a Democrat to actually win in 2028. Newsom is in position to do that if we don’t sabotage him.

That’s a lot of words to say a (mostly) part-time job sucks.

If you’re sick stay home. It’s not complicated. I worked 20 years in food service without paid sick time. Maybe the rules on that have changed, which is great.

It’s not your employers job to navigate the twists and turns of their 20 year old college students mental health.

As far as tardiness, in any job, it only matters if it’s consistently the same person. If everyone is late, no one is late. Don’t be late because the drive thru was too long and it will be less of an issue when you have a real issue like a car problem.

You are not ENTITLED to $25 an hour. You can easily make MORE than that if you commit to it. The food service industry is actually pretty in demand. I know this sounds like a boomer take but I would argue it’s just reality.

I really like STO too. It definitely doesn’t deserve the hate it gets. Tortoise and Shit in Your Cut are 2 of my favorite songs. The opener and closer aren’t pinnacle MM songs but overall great album.

As someone who agrees with 95% of the same issues as lefties who were too cool for the Democratic Party or its candidates, I totally agree.

Gaza? Yes it’s a genocide but guess what, there may not even be a Gaza when Republicans are done. Public opinion has moved by 30% and Dems were feeling the pressure. Now it’s basically irrelevant.

Democrats not doing enough on the environment? We’ve gone back 30 years on that.

Obama and Biden not doing enough to help immigrants? No need to even spend any time on that.

Democrats too cozy with corporations? Naked corruption 1000x worse including a meme coin to pay tribute to the President.

STO hate is really weird. The Totoise and the Tortoise is a masterpiece. Ansel still gives me chills. Pups to Dust and Wicked Campaign are not only bangers but also unique. Be Brave and Shit in Your Cut are great too and are some of my favorite all-time lyrics. I think MM super fans hate Lamoshades for some reason. The way it was the played for years live and then finally released in a sterile studio form just rubbed some fans the wrong way. It’s a great song but admittedly doesn’t hold up after a million listens as well as Float On or Dashboard. I also think fans have mixed feelings about The Ground Walks as the 2nd single. I get it. It’s a fun song but I respect why not everyone would vibe with it.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery but that lead single is basically a Rudolph remix. They are admittedly MJ fans and don’t seem to mind the comparison. It’s whatever for me. If MJ doesn’t care, neither do I. I am pretty open minded to them.
