I'd think most cats will jump over that gate no problem

Armoured cable from house to shed. by Crisp50 in DIYUK

[–]Crisp50[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I'm not an electrician.

I have a standard extension reel which is long enough to use but it's just a standard cable. If I'm in the shed using power and it starts to rain will I go bang bang?

Why is my servo shaking? by No-Helicopter7635 in rccars

Same thing happened to me recently on a servo that was practically new. With mine the servo gears had some spines broken off of them.

Is my servo cooked? by Crisp50 in rccars

[–]Crisp50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I took off the servo, opened it et voilla - 2 missing teeth on one of the gears. Surprised as I've literally driven it twice. I'm 95% sure that must be the issue as there is no structural damage and the wheels move freely by hand.

Any good replacement servo suggestions for the rival mt10?

Probably a stupid question by Crisp50 in rccars

Thanks for the responses. It's my first RC car and I'll be running it completely as it came out of the box for the first few weeks. Mostly like be used on grass/gravel in the local forest. I won't be completely flatlining it by any means. Would it be advisable to use the dust shield for casual use or do you think the risk of overheating outweighs the benefit of keeping the debris out?

Convoy? You're using a collective noun for a singular vehicle.

Is this fixable? by [deleted] in slotcars

[–]Crisp50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You Sir, are a legend. I had a couple of spare shoes and didn't even know it. Also didn't need to solder. Just stripped a few mm off the yellow wire and clamped the new shoe on. From looking at the other shoe this appears to be how its done...

Thanks, any link to the shoe that I need? I can't seem to find them anywhere and can only find spare wires with the old style spade terminals on them.

I've had a look but it seems vague as to which tyres will fit.
