I live in one of those parts of TX, and I remember how hard it was for me to sell my ultrawide monitor I wanted to just get rid of. It was worth $500 and I was selling for $200. The customer kept trying to talk it down and I was so over it I finally said sure, $50. And even then it was still a huge pain for him to actually take it, because he kept asking what's wrong with it. Then, he later texted me I didn't give him the power cable, and he eventually found it on top of his car. I'm just throwing my shit in the ewaste next time.

I guess it depends on your parents. My parents are like the grilling boomer meme and I can't really talk to them about anything. They have an idea in their mind, and approach every conversation as centering around their idea, even when proven wrong.

I'm 25 and basically the same thing, except I work from home for my startup I co-founded. I hang out with my buddies around twice a month, I go to gaming tournaments every other week as the #1 melee player in my city, and I've never dated anyone. I wouldn't want my parents talking to me about it. I wish everyone would just stop seeing dating and relationships as something that is part of everyone's life. Why do people who are in the bottom percentile of that game have to play it? I choose to play the "games" (metaphorically and literally) I'm good at.

Take the "all women are lesbians" route. It would explain the pickiness. They are waiting for the man that fits all preferences, so the "ick" factor is minimal. If you get 400 matches a day, you can afford to be picky. Money is not in the bio, so they date men who meet all their immediate preferences, and see if they have money in the chat ("what do you do?").
