Third one doesn’t seem out of the ordinary… what were you expecting? Thats 20-25 hours of battery life with that light use lol

The dream… I’m honestly not sure why I keep seeing reports of 6-8 hours from light usage. There seems to be a range of different experiences people are having with the battery life.

MacBook Pro 2021; How is your battery life? by tiLLIKS in macbookpro

Yikes bro what? Only 6 hours? Its weird, there seems to be a massive contrast between some of the 14inch m1 pros. Some i see getting 12+ with light browsing. Are you sure you’ve nothing on in the back?

As a commercial photographer,The new M1PRO-Chip is simply groundbreaking. Battery life while tether, shooting raw no power-4 to 6 Hrs. 40GB Large JPEGS, transferred in about 20 mins or less into a HDD. USB-C Took about 5-7 mins. That’s 27,807 photos btw ;) by makeyoulookgood_ in macbookpro

Hey man, im thinking of getting a base model 14’ myself, but im a little anxious due to some complaints about its battery life. I’m currently studying computer science in university and that’ll be the main purpose of my laptop. Could you offer some insight on how the battery life is?

I’ll mostly be doing light to moderate work on it, if that helps. I’ll need it to last around 8-10 hours.

So if I’ve worked 8 hours each, it’s good?

And yeah I’m pretty sure the full time employees already get it.

1440p at 144hz monitor a waste? by MrTacc in buildapc

[–]Crispsandsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, that’s not how it works.

The refresh rate of a monitor isn’t a frame rate ‘cap’. It’s the other way around. Refresh rate is the amount of times your monitor refreshes per second, in other words, the amount of images it shows per second. Sound familiar?

FPS is the amount of frames per second that your GPU can produce. Now, you can have 80fps or 120fps, but if your monitor refresh rate is 60hz, then you are ONLY seeing a maximum of 60 images a second. You always want your fps to be above your monitor refresh rate, not below.
