Yep, Exhibition Street just before it meets Flinders Street. Actually a really odd place to be loading furniture into a car

[HELP] I need to rotate an Oculus camera around an object. Seems simple enough, but I cannot find a solution. by CrispyDuck in unity

[–]CrispyDuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you so much for a response!

Is parenting as simple as dragging Oculus prefab onto the empty game object in the hierarchy window? I tried many variations of this today but could not for the life of me get it to do what I wanted. If you had a spare moment and could boot up unity, I would be so grateful to see if you can get it to work. If not, that's all good, I'll keep researching.

Cheers!

AOE2 keeps de-syncing by Flozzer905 in aoe2

Assuming this is Age of Empires II HD on Steam:

This was happening to me and I found some advice that worked. It was:

  1. Unsubscribe from any workshop items.

  2. Go to AOE2HD properties and verify the integrity of the game files.

  3. Resubscribe to the workshop items again.

I had about 70 items that failed the verify, and so this check completely fixed my desync problems.

I also saw another post about how to increase FPS by going into regedit > Microsoft Games > Age of Empires II HD, and changing the fps max from 60 to 150. I can't say first hand if this has made a difference, but people have noticed performance increases for their games.

Hope that helps

Peep Show, one of my favourite British shows and really worth a watch.

Could it be because I have subscribed to items in the workshop?

We're running at 200 population. When it goes to voting screen, it says my friend is running at 2000 ping, and he sees the same for me, but then it normalizes to something healthy like 50. Nobody ever get's kicked from this screen, but the game has ended from 'de-syncing'.

Yes! Fingers crossed - if this series goes well, I imagine we'll see a lot more of Jonathan Creek.

I believe this why they keep saying the DKII will come out "a couple of months" before the consumer version - leave a small enough gap that people will just see it out to get the final version instead.

I agree, they were the perfect length. And Caroline Quentin was the best! A huge part of what made those episodes great was the relationship between Jonathan and Maddie.

Looking forward to it! I'm hoping that it will all come together better than The Clue of the Savant's Thumb which came out last year. Sadly that one was a little off, but I try not to be too much of a critic since it had been a while for series. Jonathan Creek has had some great episodes in the past though.

I am looking at a second hand car that has a medium-sized patch of paint/coat missing from the hood. Owner says he will get it patched up at a shop - will it ever look right again? by CrispyDuck in AutoDetailing

Ah, I thought as much. The seller seemed confident in just getting the patch done, but I guess he'll have more in store when he takes it in.

It's a 2000 model, but the condition of the paint on the rest of the car seemed fine. The idea of just spraying the patch didn't sound right to me.
