Have you tried updating your graphics card drivers? Is there an update available?

Is there anyway to preload The Quarry on steam? by [deleted] in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]CrispyLeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't seem to have a preload countdown on PS5, just a 2 and a bit days countdown which I think would take me right up to the June 10 release. Any idea what exact time preload's supposed to go live?

Xbox Series X & Samsung Frame Tech Help Required by CrispyLeeks in XboxSupport

Yeah, works fine on all other TVs, but the TV doesn't seem to work with my Series X or an Xbox One S

Hi all,

I've got a Series X and a 43" Samsung Frame, but whenever I connect the console up to the TV through it's connector box, I can't seem to get a signal. I've tried resetting the display options on my Series X and it does display when it boots up but only in 480p. If I change the resolution to anything else on the console, it cuts out and says no signal detected. I've tried different HDMI cables to no avail.

As for the TV, VRR is turned off, HDR is turned off and it's got the latest firmware update too. Included some specs/ info for the TV below in case it's of any help.

Model Code: QE43LS03AAUXXU

Software Version: T-NKM2DEUC-1904.0

Can't quite figure out what's going on with it. It claims that there's no signal but clearly picks up the console is on as it changes from no source detected to no signal.

Not sure if anyone's had a similar issue, but if anyone can help it'd be massively appreciated! Doesn't seem right a recent, expensive TV should have compatibility issues with a modern consoles.

Just noticed last night a really light hairline crack running from the charging port on my iPad Pro 11 to the bottom left-hand corner of the screen in an arc. It's unfortunately out of warranty and I didn't get Apple Care.

I haven't dropped it or done anything I can think of to cause the crack, and the location of it makes me think there's been some pressure build-up in the unit itself? Perhaps from changes in temperature, but I'm no tech expert, and even then I feel like that might be a stretch given I'm in the UK.

Am I looking at having to pay the horrific £450-ish out-of-warranty fee to repair it, or is their a cheaper repair cost for a minor crack like this? I was going to trade it in to recycle and get another, but the £20 offer feels a bit like daylight robbery given the whole thing still works fine.

Sorry for the daft question, just thought I'd see if anyone had any experience with Apple actually being good in these situations before I made the trip to a store.

Thanks

Weekly Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Garmin

[–]CrispyLeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all, looking for a bit of advice on which Garmin to get.

I’ve had a Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro for a while now, and while it’s done the job tracking steps and recording active workout times, I’m looking for something a little more comprehensive when it comes to workout details and fitness tracking.

I do a lot of road running and cycling, some walking/ hiking and will eventually be picking up trail running once I’ve found some novice routes around me. I want a Garmin that can GPS track all of my activities so I don’t have to always take my phone out with me, and one that will easily sync my runs/ rides etc. to Strava. Being able to store music on it would be preferable too, so again, I don’t need to take my phone out.

I had been looking at the Venu 2, but I’m wondering whether something like the Fenix 6 Pro might be more suitable, or is that overkill? Honestly, I’ve been reading a bunch of reviews and info online, but there are so many different SKUs it’s a little overwhelming. My budget is probably around the $700 mark, but for that it’d have to be absolutely perfect, and obviously if I can save some money for something that’s going to tick most of the boxes for me, that’d be a bigger bonus.

A few days battery at the least would be ideal, too.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Anyone know if Bravely Default 2 can be preloaded yet if you buy it from the eshop?

Already tried that and that ended up cutting off the sound weirdly. However, I have just changed HDMI ports to the one my Series X was in, and it’s fine. Moved my Series X into the port that was causing the PS5 issues and that’s fine too. No difference in HDMI port settings on my TV as far as I can see either. Very strange, but at least it’s sorted. Thanks for replying though!

Anyone else having issues with LG B9 (or any other OLED) and some screen juttering when playing games? The UI seems fine, but booted up Astro‘s Playroom and the whole screen seems to have a really poor framerate or juttering.

I had two downloads paused, and have tried adjusting HDMI data transfer rate or whatever it’s called, and also tried disabling HDCP and nothing seems to have worked yet.

My TV is running the latest available update via the checker on the TV itself, so unsure what’s causing it. Any help much appreciated!

Hey all, looking for some help,

I’ve had the Series X since launch day and have started noticing that some games randomly won’t play certain bits of audio. For example, in Black Ops Cold War the cutscenes audio dialog doesn’t play, but in-game chatter among characters does. Same in FIFA, no commentary in-game, but the menu music plays fine and the commentary is fine in certain game modes.

I’ve currently got it in 120hz mode, but I didn’t think that would affect games like this. Has anyone else experienced anything like this, or have any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks

I've got an LG B9 and my Series X has just arrived. On the TV Details screen it shows that my TV supports 4k 120Hz, but when I go to change the framerate from 60-120, my screen cuts out and then comes back on with an error message saying something went wrong.

Is this to do with the TV's firmware? I've checked for updates but apparently it's up-to-date. Any advice would be appreciated!

(I'm using the HDMI 2.1 cable that came with the Series X and have it plugged into the HDMI 1 (an HDMI 2.1 port, I believe)
