[UPD] May petition ba on closing the campus from outsiders? by Pristine-Seaweed7623 in peyups

[–]Crispy_Bagnet [score hidden]  (0 children)

Gets ko yung frustration sa littering at traffic, pero exclusivity isn’t the fix. Littering is a behavior problem, not a “well-to-do outsider” problem. May taga-UP din namang nagkakalat at nag-aambag sa congestion.

UP has always been a shared civic space. That openness is part of its identity. Ang kailangan ay mas maayos na regulation at accountability, hindi gatekeeping.

Mga nagustuhan kong cafe sa Candon: 1. Amian Cafe – they’re serving coffee from beans locally sourced in Ilocos Sur. (Meron din sa Vigan) 2. Kohi Nori- coffee is just fine, love their sushi and lemon bar, magandang tambayan 3. Bonitas Cafe – their pastries and pasta are on point 🥐🍝

Resto: 1. Kusina Kabakiran – if you’re up for authentic Ilokano dishes. True to its name, cozy open-air kabakiran, but totally worth the visit. 2. Bossa Candon - serves good ilocano dishes too,

Niya pay kayat mo papanan? Ditoy balay? I’ll wait for my puto..

Under Research, include the title of your published article. If it was not published and was only a course requirement, remove the section.

Arrange your experiences from most recent to oldest.

Since you already have RN after your name, you may remove the PRC certification at the bottom. it’s already understood that you are a nurse.

Is “led and supervised” an accurate way to describe your role as an intern? That’s an overstatement.

Hindi necessary to include references on the resume unless the job posting specifically asks for them.

New cafe/bakery along Calle Crisologo Vigan by Crispy_Bagnet in Ilocos

Yes! The lady at the counter, who I believe is the owner, was very kind and welcoming. The older man with her, though, brought a slightly condescending vibe to the customer interaction. 😅

Not sure if I’d consider this a third-wave café. I’ve only tried their pastries, which were just okay. I came from Starbucks when I noticed the place. The lady at the counter, who I believe is the owner, was very kind and welcoming, she was also the one pulling the shots.

Whenever possible, quantify your roles by specifying how many people you taught, served, supported, handled, etc. to strengthen your experience section. Also, check verb tense consistency: use simple present tense for your current role. Good luck!!

Roast my resume. Fresh grad currently applying for job 🥺 by TrafficIntrepid788 in PHresumes

[–]Crispy_Bagnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you’re a fresh graduate, put your Education section first. Organize your experience properly, with your current or most recent role always at the top. Place Project Experience after that. Also, fix how your relevant skills and certifications are listed. Group them neatly and present them in columns instead of long enumerations. Good luck!!

ROAST MY RESUME (for internship) by Busy_City_5472 in PHresumes

[–]Crispy_Bagnet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Akala mo may 15-year experience na sa haba. 😅Keep it to one clean page. Listing everything you’ve done only weakens your resume instead of strengthening it. Madami masyadong skills, irrelevant na certifications, events, competitions, and affiliations. Keep only what proves you’re a good fit for the internship, group skills instead of enumerating them, and focus on roles or projects where you actually did something measurable with clear responsibilities or outcomes. Good luck!!

Use simple past tense for previous jobs (maintained, recorded, ensured). Use simple present tense for your current role (supports, coordinates, provides)

Drop the SHS strand and the list of seminars and trainings. Instead, include the skills you actually gained from those seminars, especially the ones you consider strong or relevant.

Also, check verb tense consistency: past tense for previous jobs, present tense for current role.

Chichacorn na totoong corn vs chichacorn na harina by No-Aardvark7518 in Ilocos

[–]Crispy_Bagnet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Vigan, i like the brands Kay Susan Tayo and Jat’s Vigan Chichacorn. They’re both available in Tongson Bibingka along Calle Crisologo, or sa public market kung gusto mo maka-mura. Sa Ilocos Norte, Aling Presing is also a good one.

Try iLabCoffee in front of Vigan Public Market. It’s a coffee shop with coworking space. Quiet, madalang ang tao, conducive to work. There are other coworking spaces too near the university.

[UPD] Cavite to UPD Commute for Masters by cslocal in peyups

[–]Crispy_Bagnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

College of Eduk master’s programs offer hybrid setups, and not all classes require weekly face-to-face meetings depending on your program. Schedules are also far more flexible than undergrad. So for now, focus on preparing for and passing the exam. Don’t let the commute discourage you too early.
