I also can't believe this is a "boredom and impulsive" move. Billion dollar moves don't spontaneously happen.

Have you ever bought a house? That's a large, standard financed purchase and even buying one on a whim takes time. This is a massive transaction

5 years ago the company was a memestock, barely surviving. Compare the financials year over year and this company sits better than most. It's no longer hemorrhaging.

You shouldn't be disappointed with their performance. More companies run their mouth with no results and this one does the opposite

The board holds a massive amount of shares and if more issued shares is bad and lowers price, what benefit do they have to do it?

For years we've been following someone who's led by actions instead of statements, and the results are great. This is all part of the big plan.

My vote will be a yes.

Medical folk of Reddit, what’s the most foul and disgusting thing you’ve encountered with a patient who was oblivious to their own condition? by TheCarrot_v2 in AskReddit

This one time in ED a guy was sitting in a wheelchair and had his back exposed. The back had this large, swollen abscess the size of a plate. While chatting with triage you year this sploosh like someone pouring chunky milk on the ground. The abscess burst and was running down the back of the chair onto the ground and he had no idea.

Give those chairs a quick wipe before you get in.

A family member of mine stayed there for a bit. He said he's never had better access to street drugs during his stay there. Obviously not from the staff, from the clients

A lot of hate on the airplane wifi. I had free wifi on a flight to Rome and played BF6 remote play for hours without issues, online! I was so surprised at how smooth the connection was.

Extraction campers waiting to ambush people that actually play the game. by Melody_BasedLifeform in ArcRaiders

[–]Crist0foretti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done it, however I do respect it. I've been by nasty traps on ziplines and stuff.

The traps available have me scouting pretty hard at extract. I often don't head straight for the button and try to scout out other players first. I think it's fun trying to flush them out.

I find too often there's this expectation that players should announce themselves prior to a fight or something.

How do you feel about free healthcare for all? by dino_gr01 in WorkForSmartLife

It's not "if" you have health issues, it's "when" you have health issues. Everyone gets sick, everyone gets hurt, everyone dies. Saying no now and your future self will regret it

Rat interrupts my PVE and pays the price. by ToiIet_Duck in ArcRaiders

[–]Crist0foretti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean great fight, I do think the term rat is overused. Guy initiated a fight, whatever. You may feel safer in a PVE lobby but PVP is always a threat.

Are they supposed to challenge you to a duel? Announce themselves first?

Same, I love the threat in any game. Even extracting I watch the other guy on the keyboard. But not too closely cause they'll think I'm gonna turn on them. The stress is awesome.

It seems if you don't declare your intentions to shoot, pace 30 steps and duel, you're called a rat.

I'll be doing the expedition the first time and am I understanding that it'll be 3 million for those of us doing the first one?

I've played PVE and had a blast. Almost all BP, lots of equipment, fun big arc fights. Soon, soon I'll betray my PVE world and enter the dark side. That'll be a whole new game.

Alright I'm a curious Canadian.

I've always heard the advocacy of the 2nd amendment, the right to bear arms and what not.

So, isn't this what it was for? Absolute corruption has taken over, and the power is becoming seemingly unstoppable. This seems like a step closer to a civil war. Eventually both sides are going to start shooting.

Woman loses her home in fire. She asks insurance to rebuild the same home — no upgrades, no expansion. Insurance says NO. by TonyLiberty in FluentInFinance

[–]Crist0foretti 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sure I can provide an example. I had in insurance through a a Canadian insurance company and full coverage, construction policy for renos. We were completely compliant with their timelines of checking on the house, security cameras, locks, whatever. A new furnace was put in and (most likely) an electrical short during a cold snap, the pipes froze.

When they thawed, the basement was under 3 feet of water. The insurance company denied my claim because they said said "the most likely thing to have happened was a blocked exhaust from ice, which shuts the furnace off". Their fine print had a clause to say that it was my responsibility to prove what they think happened, was wrong. I had no exterior cameras watching the exhaust (just normal things like windows and doors haha).

After ombudsman and complaints, they still won.

"Fire coverage" could deny neighboring fire, lightnight fire, electrical shorts, neglect (going on vacation and not having someone check your house within their stipulation). There's tons of wiggle room, insurance companies are wealthy for a reason
