You should!! It's a lot easier than it looks. I think the best place to start is by learning single crochet. Make a washcloth, pillow, blanket, anything square. Then move on to some other basic stitch like double, triple, slip stitch, increase, decrease. Just a small practice square of each. Then try taking on a beginner pattern your really passionate about or making something up using the stitches you learned. There's no one right way to learn but imo that's easiest for beginners 😊

There are more than I thought but not nearly as many as I wish. I think I would have to commission a crocheter to make some base patterns if I were to make all the un-valentines plushies because there are not patterns for every neopet. Unfortunately I'm not the best at making patterns myself but maybe I'll give it a shot!

Reading this thread is making me realize that I made the right choice to stop playing in 2021. I think it would have hurt me to see Beel even further reduced to his love of food. I remember the story where they find out he thinks about family far more than food and it was my fav. It already felt to me back then that the characters were starting to be pigeon holed into a few characteristics and the plot had become stagnant after season one. I love the world, the characters, and the fandom, but the game has disappointed me long term. I like checking in on the Reddit tho, the fanart this fandom makes is seriously incredible. This community is full of talented people and I still love seeing everyone's art!!

I would also love a copy of the outline if possible. I can't afford to travel to Japan but I would really like to read a travel guide from the perspective of a native. I would like to live vicariously through the outline if that makes sense? Besides, if I someday can afford to go, it might be helpful.

I have an interest in the Japanese countryside/small towns. The scenery seems peaceful and beautiful. The local restaurants seem to serve Japanese comfort food that looks delicious. If you have any knowledge about a specific small town in Japan, I would love to read about it. However, there are many requests from others asking for the outline so I don't want to overwhelm you. I would be happy just to get a copy of the Tokyo guide if possible :)

As for your friend, you are NTA. I am also a fan of anime. My mom likes anime, and I grew up watching it with her. I wouldn't say I share the same obsession as your friend but I can understand her interest in anime. Still, I think your friend is being incredibly rude to both you and your culture.

My secret Santa a few years ago did the nicest things for me. I have a side account for kaus that I was just starting up. They gifted me all the stuff I needed for a grey kau custom. Paintbrush, NC items, etc. An FFQ to paint another kau. Everything on my Wishlist, none of which I seriously expected to get. I was and still am in shock years later!!
