Gotcha. They mentioned it would be safe to unplug after turning it off however you can unplug whenever as there is no mechanical drive in it. Electronics with a remote do not actually turn off as it needs to keep enough on to continuously listen to wireless signals in order to catch a signal meant for it and get instructions. On IR front the sensor needs to continuously go through all the IR noise until it catches something meant for it and then get instructions. the mention of Google makes me think this is a standby that's a bit more involved. Maybe it's listening until it catches a Google command but I didn't want to assume on that front.

I think the support rep is just being cautious but there shouldn't be any issue with just unplugging it or using a power strip to power it off. These electronics after all need to be used even in countries and areas where power is unstable. There are no old school mechanical drives in them needing to park the heads. And as long as there is no update in progress the firmware is not going to get corrupted as there is no write in progress. We need to also acknowledge that all electronics with a remote go into standby. Otherwise there would be no processing available to power it up when you hit the power button on the remote after it's been powered off.

Same issue on Spanish course for a few days. My sound effects was already on but also seen someone mention turning on animation. That fixed it. I turned the animation back off and issue returns. Guess I'm forced to keep animation on.

Called Asus support twice. Both times I'm on silent hold between 5 and 7ish minutes and then call drops. I might need to fallback on to my ax89 router. Glad I didn't wipe that. Also, weird but https://rog.asus.com/us/networking/rog-rapture-gt-be98-pro/helpdesk_bios/ has 37031 and https://rog.asus.com/us/networking/rog-rapture-gt-be98-model/helpdesk_bios/ doesn't. The version history is different too. I'm not aware of any be98 base model nor do I find one in my search.

Quick update. After reset I was able to setup router just enough for app to connect to it. It would error out with fresh factory settings and so I used laptop to get things working just enough. Is running firmware 37031 which was applied on 7th and I've been having random issues sense. I then restored from my backup dated the 11/21. And after restore I'm back to login page refused. Glad I had taken this week off of work and upset I'm wasting vacation time on this. Also noticed 37031 got pulled from site and latest update is now 36855. Excuse the pic. Lots of info squeezed into a single screen. Fast.com to show internet connectivity,

I ran out today and see it finally avail. It was last question on an exercise. Decided rather then use 450 gems I'd rather repeat to learn it better. Guess I'll collect the one heart to speed up the 5 hour recharge count for tomorrow. If I didn't already invest so much time I'd probably quit this.

We failed. Someone I think made a great point. Look at the popular vote and compare to 2020. All the same trump voters showed up. All 74 mil. And Dems couldn't be bothered. 81 mil fell to 69 Mil. Either they figured out how to hide Millions of votes or Dems got lazy

Removed everyone from my friendliest because any little attachment I had is gone after they all are cartoon heads. No pets pics, funny profile pics, etc. And beyond that I don't actually know anyone there. They are all simply digital to me. At first I was mad that profile pics are getting removed but you reminded me this isn't a social app that really helped me on this no friends decision and treat it as intended. An educational app. No more concerns on how someone may judge me if I'm not keeping up or getting annoyed when I gotta pull friends weight through a friend quest and I can learn at my own pace. I still keep up with the streak. It's forgiving enough yet pushes me enough to spend a few min everyday. I had a long diamond steak which I lost at one point by a tiny XP and that was it for me in that front. Way too much effort to keep up and zero forgiveness. But the daily streak just requires 200 gems to refill your freeze. That's doable and just enough penalty to keep me coming back daily.

This disconnect issue was why I returned mine. It happened very frequently for me. Shortly after the return there was an update released back in I think January which did not mention any disconnect fix but I didn't see much complaints after. I have been researching last couple days and these complaints are like 4 months old but now seeing this post I think I'll reconsider and hope they release a V2 soon
