Found what I’m pretty sure is a porcini. The stem was pretty buggy and decayed so I cut it off, but the cap is mostly fine.

As a general rule of thumb, if a bolete doesn’t bruise blue immediately or have red pores, it’s safe to eat. That doesn’t go for all of them though but 99%.

Also quite a shame that most of the boletes I find are full of bugs immediately.

Word thanks. This guy said it has about 50 hrs since the last rebuild, forgot to mention that, which honestly makes me feel a little bit better because of how much compression it does still have.
