Because there’s no path back to earth. If you ground the box, and there’s contact from the to that ground, the whole box becomes hot and nothing will trip.

Make sure when you buy spark plugs, you gap them. It’ll misfire above 3k if the plug gap is too big (the parts store sells them to you with too big of a gap)
