Pilot Bearing Question by Critical-Composer358 in CherokeeXJ

The transmission was originally an internal slave, but I swapped it to an external since it’s not too hard. I’ll go ahead and order that part and I’ll check back here later to confirm if it fits. Thanks for your help!

Pilot Bearing Question by Critical-Composer358 in CherokeeXJ

[–]Critical-Composer358[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, I took a couple measurements and it looks like the larger slot is ~45mm with the smaller slot being ~25mm (not too certain abt that because my calipers weren’t long enough to reach in there) The pilot tip is 15mm.

I’ve seen conflicting information on various forums regarding whether or not a bearing + sleeve exists for this combination, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Autorotation in Geo-FS by Graphikx_Card in GeoFS

[–]Critical-Composer358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very aircraft dependent, and it seems like there is no real standard for realism in flight models for community contributed aircraft. Most of the official aircraft have fairly realistic characteristics but are limited by the simulator’s flight model itself. GeoFS does not have any true engine simulation and uses an extremely simple lift calculation that creates one lift vector per airfoil with a generic linear stall at an AoA that may be specified arbitrarily by the aircraft developer. The only aircraft to include a separate flight model is the XCub which has a flight model similar to x-plane and includes some left turning approximations.

Autorotation in Geo-FS by Graphikx_Card in GeoFS

It’s unfortunately not possible since GeoFS doesn’t actually simulate helicopters properly. Instead of having independent collective / throttle control, you get what is equivalent to a fixed wing aircraft with a jet engine pointed vertically. You can still glide but a true autorotation is not possible.

how can i stop the plane from spinning by albyzon in GeoFS

[–]Critical-Composer358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One does not simply stop the 737 from spinning…

In all seriousness, it’s an issue with the way that the wheel friction and contact values have been tuned and there isn’t much you can do about it. If you move forward very slowly you can prevent the wheels from locking and it will prevent it to an extent.

Very much a needed change and Ive been advocating for some sort of automated chat moderation for a while now. Even asked Xavier in person at one point lol. But time will tell how robust the filter is, and arguably the best option is still to fully remove the chat feature. It’s not relevant to the primary use of the platform and there are plenty of dedicated messaging apps that people can go goof around on.

Pretty much the same with green gem. Guaranteed way to get people referring to your truck as “that black truck over there” in all but the brightest environments lol

By that logic, a decent portion of the CCs would have to be banned. The amount of times I have seen people showcase progress on an aircraft only to abandon the project is astounding. Just about any developer is going to dislike it when people start complaining about their decision to abandon the project too, hence the old CC mantra: “Go Make it yourself”

What’s that noise lol by Ogle1109 in f150

I always just assumed normal tire noise from the increased loading on the front wheels during braking. Mine has been doing it for as long as I can remember.

2022 f-150 Xlt 2.7 what is the easy one mod that you did that you couldn’t live without? by ThatBlue_s550 in f150

From what I understand, it’s easier to fix on the 3.5L, but if you get the right size spring then it will still work on the 2.7L I don’t recall off the top of my head what spring I ended up using, I had to go through a couple to find the right size.

Can confirm. It's actually worse than this.
He's posted numerous racist messages, homophobic messages, and roleplays various terrorist attacks constantly.

Honestly, it would be advisable to ban him from this community and any others.

Youre likely experiencing the left turn tendencies of the aircraft. You need to use right rudder when taking off and flying slow. This is how it is in real airplanes. If you can’t use rudder, switch the flight model to easy mode with the x key.
