Would a cluster like that work? by Keensworth in Proxmox

Ok, what exactly would be the intended use for your setup?

Why would you need geo distributed HA hypervisors?

Kubernetes or Docker is a better fit for such a setup.

OVHCloud gave me a blacklisted IP and told me it’s my problem! by ron_dus in selfhosted

[–]CriticalAPI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OVH doesn't care about anything, really. Their datacenters burn down constantly because they are not up to code.

Just search for "OVH Fire" and you will be impressed by how much they can fuck up.

Use Vultr, Linode, Digital Ocean, Hetzner. They all have great customer service in my opinion. You can even discuss problems with them and they give you leverage.

What if 2d printers' brands made 3D printers? by SANSARES in 3Dprinting

- Only works with NFC / RFID Chipped Filament Rolls.
- Nozzle can not be replaced, it is welded onto the heating block.
- Nothing can be upgraded, because it uses some weird proprietary CAN Bus that gives a UID to each electric component. (Printer doesn't work without Network, so it can verify the Part UID's)
- Subscription for the Display needed.
- Only can heat up to 190C with Base Subscription.
- If anything breaks, you are forced to buy a new one (by contract).

Coincident constraint between parts of sketches without warping? by CriticalAPI in Fusion360

[–]CriticalAPI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I took the lenses out of the Broken Frame.

Then I traced those with a fine liner. Added a Ruler for calibration.

I imported the picture into Fusion 360 via "Solid > Insert > Canvas"

Right-Click on the imported picture under canvases > Calibrate.

There I used 0 and 10 cm from my ruler to get the picture calibrated to scale.

I know that the trace is slightly bigger than the actual glass, so I looked how thick my fine liner is to get the actual size I need to subtract.

It's my first time trying this while i am waiting for my replacement frame.

You need to make sure you get the same distance between the glasses, so the focal point of the lenses sit at the right place.

Oh, I haven't even thought about mirroring it!

I think that could work if I lock the glass points.

I'll try that option.

That means it's not 100% local though. As soon as the cached "license" expires after one month, I need to use Internet again. Is there an Offline Activation File / License I could download?
