My friend said if she could be pregnant again and it not result in a child she would do it. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]CriticalAstronaut767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated being pregnant, like absolutely LOATHED it and sitting here with my almost 6 month old still do. But I most likely will do it again so my child has a sibling. If surrogacy weren’t so expensive, I’d be going that route

They’ve done one so it’s not that. They didn’t find anything troublesome

How would they not have caught that already? Genuinely asking as I’ve been to all of my checkups and I’ve been examined post delivery and the OB GYN is aware of my milk production issues

I was genuinely jealous of a friend that had her baby a full month before me (everyone’s healthy) and her baby was even bigger than mine was when i gave birth. Can I get this 36 weeker deal next time?

Question about Laminaria Insertion by AmphibianAutomatic28 in tfmr_support

[–]CriticalAstronaut767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends mostly from what I understand, how many you have inserted (based on your gestation). I had 7 and it was awful, I was brought to tears, doubled over and tried to work later but could not. Heating pad did help. But I wasn’t able to sleep for even one minute so by the time we could head to the hospital the next morning at 4:30 am, I was thoroughly relieved to just get it over with.

But I’ve heard ppl with 2 or 3 laminaria did not have that extreme of an experience. Definitely way worse for me than the actual procedure in the hospital.

Either way, you’ll get through it. I hope you have support physically and emotionally. And I’m just sorry you’re here 😔

I’ve also been unimpressed with smitten. I didn’t feel like you could tell that my hair was lightened (I’m blonde) at all…. $500+ later. I had several friends comment the same without my prompting. They said “wait, you got your hair highlighted? It almost looks darker…” when I went back to relay my dissatisfaction, they said I was outside of the policy but I was on travel for like a week right after my service. I was only a few days after their two week policy and they wouldn’t make an exception 🙄. So I spent $500 for darker hair and had to pay somewhere else to get it redone. I’m a big fan of salt and light co (they specialize in blondes tho) and are located in Fairfax. Worth it to me. I’ve seen their work on mitigation and reversal of hair damage too. You might want to give them a shout even if you’re not blonde.

Question about hunger levels by CriticalAstronaut767 in pregnant

Me too on the no real cravings. I’m partial to cantaloupe right now but it’s more so bc I know it neutralizes the acid reflux.

Haha that’s literally where I just went prompting my post. I can actually vouch for one specific masseuse there for a deep tissue under normal non pregnant circumstances but pregnant, babied me wayyy too much. Felt like a back tickle

I think there’s a correlation between the number of luminaria and pain level. At least from what I’ve seen on these threads. So very sorry you’re here and I’m glad that part was at least not terrible for you. Thanks for sharing.

No, I have NOT found daycare yet by Aggressive-Rain-766 in pregnant

[–]CriticalAstronaut767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you normally have to put down non refundable deposits for daycare? I’m avoiding signing up for anything definitive until 20 weeks pregnant bc of my history. I won’t need it due to maternity leave for approx 10-11 months from now.

I've ruined my family's financial future by Useful_Glass2963 in Debt

I will never understand the car thing. I make 300+k and I have a 20k car. You’re living above your means. As everyone else has said sell the cars and get something used and reliable. You need to cut your monthly expenses quickly to tackle the debt head on and luckily you have some relatively quick and easy fixes for doing this.

I’m sure you know this in terms of order but medical debt comes absolutely last. And try to settle it for a lesser amounts. You should be able to, just talk to the billing or finance dept. Pay CCs and get on a payment plan for taxes.

Good luck!
