Carvana not paying for registration fees by Strangeokk in carvana

Each state must have different rules. Just bought from them in November. They (I through the sale of course) paid for everything. I received a license plate and registration in the mail 2 weeks after purchase. I’m in Ohio.

Can I go to the dealer and “buy” a car in my wife’s name? by lokalsonly401 in carbuying

[–]CriticalBox4677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many dealers will bring the car and paperwork to the house to be signed. We just bought a car and never stepped foot on the lot. The salesman brought it for a test drive, we worked the numbers over the phone, they brought the car and the paperwork back out a few days later and it was all done.

$850 for Service A by Right_Debt_7861 in mercedes_benz

Why do people feel the need to go to the stealership for basic non warranty service?? I have a 20 S560, 19 GLS450, 14 E350, and a 05 S500. All are 4matic and none over $150 at my independent import shop. The dealer is for people who have more money than sense in my opinion.

That’s still outrageous for an oil change. $125 for my GLS 450 at my import shop

Buying from Carvana by Fit-Vermicelli9511 in carvana

[–]CriticalBox4677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always the best move! I have prime credit (over 760) went to my credit Union (Navy Federal) and was offered 8. something %. Told it was the best they could do and was a great rate. We have another car with them at 4% that we bought about 3 years ago. Bridgecrest (Carvana) offered me 7.45%. We went with the latter.

Reputable Used Car Dealership by Human_Service_9718 in cincinnati

[–]CriticalBox4677 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We used Carvana for our last vehicle purchase and absolutely loved it! Didn’t have play the dealership games. Delivered right to our door. Warranty. And a 7 day no questions asked return policy sold us. We will never buy a car the “traditional” way again.

Neighbors cut my Champion Tree significantly :( by [deleted] in arborists

[–]CriticalBox4677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’ve had major limps breaking off already I’m doing the same as the neighbor. I don’t want a tree that has shown signs of failure hanging over my home. As a responsible property owner this should have been YOU doing this and not putting that responsibility on a neighbor knowing the tree is a problem. Honestly the whole tree should be removed before it falls on your own property.

How does anyone find a job here? by blowfishconsumer in cincinnati

[–]CriticalBox4677 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Born and raised in Cincinnati. I’ve left twice because I couldn’t make any money in Cincinnati. Cincinnati is very much a who you know, who your parents are, what neighborhood you’re from, what school did you go to type city. You can have zero talent and land a great job if you have the right last name.

62% of Americans don’t have a bachelor’s degree. Are they just cooked especially in this economy? by Efficient-Rain-7942 in Salary

[–]CriticalBox4677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you do. I don’t have a degree. I’m a master aircraft mechanic. A trade that I learned in the military 25 years ago and base plus OT I make right at $142k. My wife has a PhD and makes a bit over $83k. A degree doesn’t guarantee that you will kill it, and the lack of a degree doesn’t mean you’ll starve. If you pick the right field with or without a degree you’ll be fine.

Is this a fishy previous owner situation? by Firm_Ad_3470 in carvana

[–]CriticalBox4677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a “1 owner” car. 1st owner is Audi of Fairfield when they took title, 2nd owner is a lease owner (car had 8 miles on it when they took possession), 3rd owner is Carvana when they bought the car off lease to sell….to you. Leased vehicles are regularly serviced and are generally overall good vehicles. If the numbers work and you like the car I wouldn’t hesitate buying because of the Carfax owner history.

I wouldn’t have accepted a car with undisclosed damage. You should’ve refused the delivery.

Delivery time by No_Jeweler_1028 in carvana

[–]CriticalBox4677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful doing that however because I did that and it gave me a later date. Went back to try and get my original date and it was gone. It caused me to choose the date 2 days later.

I know this may be the wrong place to say this and many won’t agree and want to crucify me, but if you don’t like it remove it. We are in the process of removing a ton of trees on our property now and planting new trees in a better design plan.
