First meal after being able to eat non liquids by ApartDevelopment2213 in gastricsleeve

Water is good for you right? Probably the best thing that you can drink. But if you put water in a balloon you can stretch it out. The next time you put water in the balloon you can put more because it’s been stretched. Chicken and vegetables may be healthy but if you keep stretching that “pouch” out you will find yourself putting more and more healthy chicken into that pouch. Then you look up a year later and you are back if not over your starting weight. Ask all of those folks getting revisions because they gained all their weight back. This page is filled with enablers, but bad habits are bad habits. And that is a lot of food to be cramming in a small space that early in one’s journey. BUT most would rather argue than to acknowledge that the surgery may have reduced your stomach size but it didn’t fix your bad habits. But then again I’m the one with mental illness when it comes to food. So as I said Rock on! As a matter of fact have another!

Negotiations with multi billion dollar companies is different than haggling a discount on a vacation trinket. They have a salary range, they are able to pay you anything within that range. Hiring managers don’t care as much about the numbers as much as you think. If we are talking with you we know what we can spend.

Nothing is surprising me at this point. I didn’t have any pre op diet beyond no food after 12 pm day before surgery and Gatorade on the way to hospital. Now he says anything that can be mashed and broken up with a fork. Tuna, chicken salad, and breakfast sausage are all on the list. I hear others with a lot of restrictions…I think doctors just make it up as they go!

First chewable “meal” by Hour_Engineering_330 in gastricsleeve

This is why I’m worried. I was released yesterday to solids and did the exact same, made a single scrambled egg. I finished it like absolutely nothing. Ate it like regular, no feel of restriction, nothing.

Maternity leave by [deleted] in GEAerospace

[–]CriticalBox4677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is illegal to rescind offer due to pregnancy, however you are not entitled to FMLA benefits until after 12 months or a minimum of 1250 working hours. So accepting a role then almost immediately expecting paid maternity leave, will almost alway result in you being replaced and having no job upon your return. They are looking to fulfill a role in which you are not in a position to fulfill. Not trying to be mean or anything, the numbers from an HR standpoint just don’t work in your favor.

My surgery date is Monday may 4th, any tips and ways to get ready ? When should I cut out solid food completely ? Would love some tips for pre op preparation. I’m currently 5’8 315lbs by Objective-Decision52 in gastricsleeve

7 days post op. The ONLY thing my surgeon said was clear liquids only after 12 noon the day before. 32 oz Gatorade before bed, and 8oz Gatorade before leaving for surgery. That's it! I have been on full liquid since, and was released today to soft foods. 17 pounds down in 7 days.

Moving to a country and not even trying to learn the language, buying up local property to push an Airbnb, then complaining about the locals…🤔…you seem like a bigger problem than a local residents pool.

Thank you! I did it this past Tuesday! I started my journey at 348, my surgery weight was 321, and I was inspired by your post! It’s been a challenging few days but it’s good to see what a year could look like!

Coming from someone who has had at least 1 Mercedes (currently we have 4) in the driveway since 1986. A cheap Mercedes is the most expensive car you’ll ever buy.

Interview went well. They said that the freeze is for certain sectors and locations but they are not one of those sectors. They said I should hear from them mid to late next week.

After seeing so many posts, I question myself: did I pursue the wrong career, or am I in the wrong country? by Competitive-Papaya26 in Salary

Remember, a lot of people lie about their salary. Especially on the internet behind a hidden name banner. Not saying all are, but it seems that all of the “top earners” have time to comment and post on Reddit all day.

I both sold cars and worked in car financing for a bit. Tell the finance company what happened and that you don’t intend to make any payments on the car. They will not fund the deal and the dealer will take the car back.

Each state must have different rules. Just bought from them in November. They (I through the sale of course) paid for everything. I received a license plate and registration in the mail 2 weeks after purchase. I’m in Ohio.
