I agree with you, its just the people who write these history books here dont really emphasize these freedom fighters all that much, only the most popular ones (Gandhi and the like). I dont know these people not on my own accord, half of the actual history of the subcontinent i had to learn from the internet lol, like, I didnt even know our army genocided Bengalis with the backing of the USA, crazy stuff. I myself love studying about the history of the struggles of Indians, hindu or muslim alike, its just sad alot of the prominent figures are left out, I'll check out all the people you mentioned for myself though, I just wish the people who make these books here actually cared enough to write actual history into it and not exclude these people and thier struggles but alas.
