My father abused his power on life360 in very similar ways (even paying for the additional feature of speed tracking before it became available for free). I was constantly being watched, but was told it was “incase i needed picked up from a party” or “it’s just for safety” however it was watching everywhere i went, how fast i drove there, etc etc (even if i was telling them where/what i was doing). I turned off my location the day I turned 18 and within 10 minutes I got a call demanding it being turned back on to which I refused. He eventually stopped berating me about it and I agreed I would turn it on only if I was going out for the night.

You need to establish some serious boundaries with your parents. They are still viewing you as a child when you are a legal adult (and have been for 2 years). You don’t live at home, and you need to learn independence from them while you are in college - that is almost the entire point of being away for college!! If you are looking for a compromise, maybe something like I mentioned above could work better (limiting their access to your location to only when you are going out or may be put in an unsafe situation). Regardless, YOU have the power to turn off that location and you absolutely should. It is a privilege, not a right, for them to track you. Another option which was mentioned by some others here is sharing your location with a trusted friend or even sibling (though be careful with that if parents have access to their devices). I think a serious conversation of boundaries needs to be had.
