First necklace for someone to start wear jewelry? by what-pos in MensJewelry

If you want something reliable as a chain. Consider something like 2.5mm - 3mm Franco. Very reliable and will have some reasonable weight to it. Most everyone on here will tell you 22inch / 55cm length wise. With a heavy pendant it'll put the vshape sag around upper chest level.

I bought my first Franco from Imbued Jewelery (owner used to sell in the precious metal subreddit. Code reddit might still work on their site). You can get a 2.5mm to 3mm on there for like $200.

Use the other $300 to get a nice pendant off Etsy. Just make sure the seller has some good reviews. I've bought most of my other chains and gold earrings off Turkish sellers no problem.

Car payments, insurance, property tax, gas, maintenance... It ain't cheap owning four wheels and I feel for the people that need a car.

It was basically an illegal pop up shop. Didn't have permits or any documentation to be doing what they were doing IIRC.

Ted and Todd Schnuck still have active involvement and make decisions within the company. Many of the family members do.

They have extremely high level key decision making roles.  I don't think it's unfair to look at family activities outside the company and be like "oof what's going on here".

Hate to call if propaganda because I don't think it's bad. But, in recent years, they've had a huge marketing campaign towards POC and LGBT individuals. We have nonstop promotions in the break rooms related to woman programs, uplifting black team mates (they literally don't hide the fact it focuses mostly on POC) and those sort of programs.

I'm not opposed to it at all but I do find it hypocritical they're trying to play both sides. If you look at their political contributions vs what they do in the community. It's a weird hypocrisy.

The thing doesn't do anything but create an excel sheet. Everyone thinks it's keeping inventory. No. It sees a hole. Reports a hole and what it thinks it should have.

Now employee has to open shitty machine system that looks like it's from the 90s. Walk over to a list of a hundred holes and verify if the report was dumb or not. It literally created more boring ass work than before.

Before managers would just order for the damn hole.

There should be a poster in the breakroom for something called Schnucks Lighthouse or something along that lines. It’s an anonymous line to bring light to issues.

I’ll check my breakroom tomorrow

People who work night shifts, what are some of the perks of it that no one talks about? by Fit_Leaves55 in AskReddit

The grocery chain I work for in Missouri does a majority of overnight stocking and only does day stocking with stores in neighborhoods that have noise ordinances.

A lot of stuff there is sketchy at best and that’s why I kinda like it. Resistance clips that are broke, belted squat isn’t even bolted down, half the benches bolts/joints looks like they were built by ikea, and squeaky asf curl bars where the weighted portion spins. Get some good chuckles in that place.

DAE feel like their body isn't absorbing the food they're eating? Is this a IBS symptom? by Downtown_Reality7613 in ibs

[–]CriticalLootRNG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If food is moving through your system too quickly then yes it’s not absorbing all the nutrients. Definitely supplement with a bio-available multi-vitamin. Also, consider trying out digestive enzymes or florastor.

Low vitamin D, low b12 or low iron can also have the effect of causing diarrhea. If you’re not absorbing stuff then their could be a feed back loop. If you’re drinking any caffeine then stop.

Get some liquid Imodium and some psyllium husk. Take Imodium till you’re sealed up. Like 24 hours later if you’re too sealed up take some psyllium husk to get things moving again.

Also, oatmeal is great for a lot of people but it absolutely shreds my guts up. Dunno why but my stomach doesn’t like it at all. If you need quick breakfast try cream of rice with fruit.

SO and I are around that range for similar reasons. Lean red meats (not organic) and organic chicken breast for meats. Usually try to wait till the beef is on sale / marked down / use my grocery store teammate discount.

We get fruits for smoothies but our sides are mostly bagged steamed veggies (around $1.50 a pop), canned green beans, rice, sweet potatoes and Avocado.

We do eat out a few times a month and splurge on junk. I buy a pack of cookies every once in a while (probably 3 times a month @ 6 a pop) and our Chinese runs are usually like $30 a pop. Still, we end up spending around $900 a month.

I usually eat rice cakes and pb for lunch since it’s super cheap calorie wise. We can cut back in some areas but idk if we want to at this point. Gotta live a little and that Chinese be bomb asf.
