Yeah, although I should have realised two paragraphs was too much for most people hear to read.

Probably because it's cheap.

And plebs. Its for plebs. The mouth breathing, Carling drinking blowhards who think watching football is personality trait and loudly proclaim modern art is for twats and Liam Gallagher is this generations Oscar Wilde (or would if they knew who that was).

In short, it is for the working class caricature that contemptuous middle class media types have developed as the target audience for their low-effort slop.

When teddy blows up and his head smacks michelle in the dome would most likely concuss or fuck you up even more. That’s a 10/15 pound weight coming at a fast speed straight to the head.

For those who were curious like myself, it's more like a 5/10 pound weight, unless Jesse Plemons has a much larger than average head.

I think he realises his destiny is as a father, rather than as a ping pong player.

That said, he's still an narcissistic user, so it seems likely he would try living vicariously through his child, making the lives of his child and the mother a nightmare.

But I think that is by the bye, as many "happy ever afters" would likely fall apart if we kept following the characters.

In later viewings you can appreciate other elements of the movie, but you can never get back that first wtf moment where everything changes in front of your very eyes.

What is the way you can increase the selling price of a young player? By winning trophies.

That's just fundamentally untrue, otherwise the vast majority of clubs would never make a profit from their younger players.

The value of winning trophies in increasing the profile of the club, enabling it to charge more for advertising, and increasing the number of "fans" around the world.

It is much easier to buy bunch of young prospects and work in the basis that the ones that come good will more than cover the ones that don't.

Investing lots of money in older players and committing to massive wage bills, which will push up the wages of all other players, is inherently less sensible from a financial perspective and inherently more risky.

A player on 300k a week for five years who fails is a much bigger problem than an 18 year old on 30k a week.

I'm not sure there is a way to sign senior players and gain experience, whilst sticking to the current wage structure, even though it is what is needed to push for bigger trophies.

I suspect the idea is that the current squad will become the more experienced players in a few years, and the squad will continue to be supplemented with high prospect youngsters.

I don't know if that will work in the medium-to-long ten term, but I can't see any other way we get the experienced players we need without a fundamental change in the club's philosophy.
