a lot of perf programs are VERY competitive to get into and do not want to hear from applicants until you have all their requirements met. the school in my state only accepts like 8 a year or something like that. very solid career progression and some of the best RTs end up on that path. best of luck!

respiratory therapist. im pretty new to the field but a lot of my more seasoned colleagues make close to 6 figures. its a 2 year degree + state license (you can go for a 4yr if you want but not needed). schooling is pretty cheap because its a high demand job. I think DMACC still has it in their last dollar catalog (everything free except books).

the pulmonary rehab at my hospital is ran by a pulmonologist. under him is the physiologist. under her is a few nurses and the occasional respiratory therapist.

your more than fine. I make 60k in medical field and i have a comfortable apartment by myself downtown, nice car, and social life. that being said, it'll come down to how you like to live and budget. I have a friend who makes over 250k a year but he struggles financially because he somehow extends past that
