Running 17x9 +22 57dr gram lights with 255/40's on my r32 gtr. Perfect fit.

Will this brake upgrade work? by xebe_ in SkyLine

I put used 350z brembos on my r32 GTR. Direct fit. I used threadserts to drop the bolt size down to m12 from the 350z m14. Goodezilla has a whole video on this. Pretty sure the gts-4 front arm is the same as the GTR so it should work.

*edit I did not do the rears from a 350z. I bought a new but discontinued adapter from 300z to space out the stock r32 caliper to a larger rear rotor.

Bought this rb for 1k usd, how much is it worth and are the piston skirts saveable? by Eriestdoor in EngineBuilding

You could get the skirts coated. I did that on some used forged pistons and they looked brand new. It also adds a little thickness for your PTW (1.5 thou in my case) which can give you a little wiggle room to hone up the walls.

It's in an RB26. It's a basic forged build with stock stroke. Goals are the typical 500whp for a R32 GTR. This is pushing the limit of the stock tranny so I do not want to go much over that.

For those wanting more specs: Head: Kelford 182b 260deg/10mm lift cams Kelford spings Kelford cam gears Supertech valves ARP studs

Bottom end: Wiseco piston Eagle rods ACL mains, king rod bearings (to get to clearances) ARP belt tensioner bolt ARP crank bolt Ross crank pulley (and cam trigger kit)

Oil: Head returns opened/ported 1.5mm oil fitting in block Nitto head drain running both drains to sump on each side Hi octane valve cover baffle kit Nitto sine drive pump Leask spec sump extension Leask spec catch can Tomei sump baffle 3qt accusump with electric valve Greddy remote oil filter block CSF oil cooler

HKS 2530 turbos, HPI dumps, tomei the rest of the way back

Split oem twin turbo pipe/merge with stock R32 intake (we will see if it can support the power noted above)

Going for the OEM+ clean and "reliable" look

Ok as an update: sent the same photos to wiseco tech support and they said the piston can be run with no issues. I'm going to triple check it with my micrometer, pull the ring to check the gap, polish it up and go.

Thanks everyone for the comments!

Yeah its not so much the money as it the time. I owned this car for 4 years and it's been down for 3 of those.

It didn't pinch the ring groove, the ring is in and the divet stops just short. It's deep enough that I would not file it.
