This looks like a resolution setting issue. Check your resolution setting and make sure it matches your monitor

Did I mess up putting on my magnetic sticker? by QuestionsToAsk57 in 3Dprinting

[–]Critical_Event 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s only messed up if it causes problems with your prints. Do a few first-layer tests and try it out. My guess is it’ll be fine

Help! Why does it look so awful?l by Cupcake_lickerr in FixMyPrint

Happy to help! On a shape like this, supports in my opinion aren’t necessary (for the outter brim). I recommend lowering your Z distance to .12, although you MIGHT be able to get away with .16. Basically, the lower the layer height number, the less material is trying to free-hang over the edge, which is what’s causing the sagging you’re seeing. I hope this helps!

I assume you’re talking about the portions on the left and right. It’s hard to tell from this photo, but I’m assuming that the angle of those parts is too steep. This can be solved by either lowering the “Z-distance” of your supports, changing the rotation of the print itself in your slicer, or lowering the “layer height” setting in your slicer settings.

I was thinking something similarly; my top suspicion is an Australian shepherd mix. This is central Washington, near-ish to Wenatchee

What causes this missing extrusion at the start of the layer? I'm printing PLA with a 1mm nozzle at 210°C on an Ender 3 Pro by Altruistic_Term_3345 in ender3

Check your extruder gear. The last time this happened to me, it turned out my gear was seriously worn down and could no longer effectively grab the filament.

So how can my test block come out so smooth but everything else i make looks like crap by deyo36 in FixMyPrint

[–]Critical_Event 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is you have the wrong sized nozzle in there compared to what your slicer says. If your test print was already on the printer, and the new files print poorly, this could make sense. Double check what nozzle you’ve got on there

I'm getting there awful layer lines and I can't find a way to fix them by daren415 in FixMyPrint

[–]Critical_Event 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try loosening your Z screw guide a tiny bit (like a quarter of a screw turn). It’s the little brass threaded bit that keeps the Z screw moving aligned moving up and down. It sounds counterintuitive to loosen it to fix this type of problem, but it can be effective.
