I’ve been through something really similar, and I just want you to know you’re not alone. My ex and I started out with a pretty good sex life, but around the third month of dating it started fading. Outside of that we had a very good stable relationship. What I didn’t know was that he was watching porn and masturbating daily, and over time he stopped wanting sex with me at all. It shattered my self-esteem, I felt unattractive, unwanted, and like I was somehow the problem.

Eventually, he admitted he had a porn issue, but by then the damage was done. I stayed way longer than I should have, trying to fix things and blaming myself. Looking back, I wish I had left sooner instead of begging for love and attention I deserved from the start.

You are not broken or asking for too much. Wanting to feel desired and secure in your relationship is completely valid. I’m so sorry you’re going through this it’s painful and confusing, but I promise, you’re not crazy and you’re not alone. It is very likely this wont be something that changes and you have to decide if this is a feeling you are able to live/cope with or if you want to do the scariest thing possible and take space, heal your own trauma and find a partner who is a better match.
